My saved character appearances are gone!

I just recently bought a new hard drive for my computer and moved my operating system to it. Now it appears all my saved appearances are gone. Guessing the new hard drive is the cause. I suspect perhaps they are still saved somewhere on my computer. But where?

they'd be on the old hard drive. in some folder where STO is installed, look for one full of images of outfits?

"He shall be my finest warrior, this generic man who was forced upon me.
Like a badass I shall make him look, and in the furnace of war I shall forge him.
he shall be of iron will and steely sinew.
In great armour I shall clad him and with the mightiest weapons he shall be armed.
He will be untouched by plague or disease; no sickness shall blight him.
He shall have such tactics, strategies and machines that no foe will best him in battle.
He is my answer to cryptic logic, he is the Defender of my Romulan Crew.
He is Tovan Khev... and he shall know no fear."

This. Costumes are saved locally to your screenshot folder (under "live", where ever you have the game installed.)

^This is your answer. Those costumes are not saved on the server. They are saved on your computer's hard drive. The easiest thing to do would be to copy the files over from the old harddriharto the new one and place them in the correct directory.

What I do is basically relaunch the game sometimes theres a bug that you can't access overflow bag or outfits. Relaunching the game fixes it.

Here's the thing though. All the old files are still in the screenshot folder of the STO I am using

But that's my problem. The old stuff is still in there. The game itself wasn't moved. Only the drive with the operating system changed.

sounds klike your windows registry might be pointing to the wrong drive then... I wouldnt suggest trying to muck with that unless you know what you are doing. You could perhaps try making a new outfit and saving it, see if that kicks things into gear, or uninstalling/resinstalling the game to see if that will tel the registry where to look. Dont know if either will work tho

STO isn't canon, and neither are any of the books.

Save a few new ones, then search the hard drive to find where the game saved them. If it's just looking in the wrong spot, it'll probably save new costumes to wherever it's looking for old ones.
