This is getting bad..The server connections are ultra sporadic and a shitload of rubberbanding in game so much so it unplayable..Could this be because of the 9 GIG pre patch everyone gets AFTER exiting the game? If so TRIBBLE gonna happen on 5th when everyone is trying to get in..

Considering the lack of anyone else report the issue, it's not the server. There are over a dozen of reasons why you could be getting rubberbanding.

Presuming you have restarted your PC/Laptop first, rule out your own network first. Restart your router and devices especially MOBILE PHONES. Phones are the one of the most common cause of IP conflicts on home networks and an IP conflict WILL cause rubberbanding in STO. So at least reset their Wi-Fi's.

Check your line and router quality by going into your Router Diagnostics and checking the DSL Line Diagnostics screen. You are looking for Near-End (ISP Side) Errors and Far-End (your Modem) Errors, especially CRC errors. If they are high (as in the thousands) there is a line issue (Near-End) or Modem (Far-End). Your line speed means nothing! If errors are having to be retransmitted due to line quality/modem issues, your line bandwidth won't help! The minimum req's for linespeed for using STO is a 1Mb/s line.

I occasionally see someone ask if there is a server issue because of rubber-banding, as I'm in the UK and don't use a proxy, I'm using the US connection, if there was a server issue, it would be more pronounced here! I only have a basic broadband with 14Mb/s.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

I have done all that and more , SNR used to be a once in a while thing , for the past 2 weeks it has been all day every day , i even changed internet providers, upgraded my up/download speed and my ping time lowered from 200+ to 40-50ms. IT'S THE SERVER.

You may not be seeing many people posting currently because in the past there have been dozen of threads by many people but since there has been no reply it has dropped off..In game there are quite a few people who form up who also have issues..And also note this happens alot when somethingbig is about to drop..I recenty redid the cabling in my house and switched from AL to CU cabiling and upgraded to a bare minimum connection of 10Mbps as its in my budget..I alo upgraded my modem from a 150Mbps modem..Ran all the tests and everything was good infact better on my end..Keeping chrome open with multiple tabs and downloading updates for windows and software while streaming a show I had no issues..But come to STO once I get in with everything else closed..Its a rubberbanding fest and I am getting kicked around like a rag doll even on ground que maps..

I've run plenty of net traces the past few days because I've had loads of drop outs and intermittent but severe lag. It's (probably) not your home network or your ISP. There are 3 internal Cryptic Studios servers that are running like garbage at the moment. Probably related to the upcoming patch.

Type this into the windows 10 command prompt:
    tracert patchserver.crypticstudios.com

You'l see that the following addresses perform like a burning tyre fire:
    198.49.243.250
    198.49.243.253
    208.95.184.200

You can see the slow responses in real time when you run the trace. I did IP lookups to verify they were all internal servers belonging to Cryptic and not Perfect World. I presume those are the same servers all those pre-patches are running from. They didn't historically cause such a big issue but maybe there was some staff turnover and someone new broke something.

Anyway not much you or anyone else who isn't Cryptic Studios can do for now.
