When is tribble gonna be enabled for silver members?

It's honestly been like what? 1-2 weeks now since you guys announced to remove the gold restrictions for tribble, and you said you were working on removing it, When is it gonna happen? I really wanna get on and test some of the new stuff out so i know what to prepare for for launch

Yeah, when do we get to walk through the Door to Nowhere on DS9?

They Didn't announce they were removing the restriction... they announced they were adding it.

Normally Tribble is available to all players. However in the leadup to a new Expansion they lock the server to Gold and Lifetime members only to cut down on the players using the new pre-release content. They want enough players to test the new Episodes, but not so many that the stories leak out on the interwebs.

The Server will be unlocked for all players after the expansions release.

There is also a small chance they will do a freeplay weekend before the release as they have done that in the past, but nothing has been announced.

When they announced the removal of the subscription model and the buy to play sought of option, I thought the elite starter pack or the Gamma pack would include an option to test.

Would be nice, if the plan was to open up tribble after VIL launched or if it is planned to have a testing weekend at some point.

aaah... I can see how the removal of the monthly subscription model would cause that confusion. Sadly not the case though.

You've only got about 2-3 weeks left anyways, and believe me... the reason cryptic doesn't usually release missions for testing beforehand is because they are usually Broken to bits... Pre-Expansion Testing is not all that fun. I took about 4 patches before I was able to complete the first TOS mission, and since it was part of the tutorial it meant I couldn't test anything.

Pretty sure he's referring to the faq from the elite starter pack announcement.

    Direct quote:
"What about access to the Tribble test server during testing for Victory is Life?

We're about to remove the subscriber-only restrictions on Tribble for Victory is Life. For future instances where we may want to limit access to Tribble, we'll reevaluate."

Short answer is no idea, "about to" implies pretty much immediately, but it's been a few weeks so...

ViL is about to release next month, so...

(For something like this it depends on your reference scale. My read was simply that they'd re-evaluate how restricted tribble access works in future, not now, because the locked testing period for ViL is coming to a close anyway.)
