LTS - Auto Dilithium Refining?

I was watching one of Parallel Universe Gaming YT videos today and he mentioned that as a LTS (Life Time Subscriber) there is an option to have your dilithium auto refine for you. You won't need to go to assets and manually click refine Dilithium. If this is accurate, how do you turn that setting on? Much thanks.

It happens automatically up to a maximum of 50'000 dilithium iirc. That means you have to log in on your character at least once a week if you have more than 50k unrefined dilithium on one toon.

Happens automatically, or at least I didn't have to manually activate it anywhere. It only happens if you've been offline long enough to completely miss a given refinement cycle (nothing happens on the first dil-o-clock that you miss, because you can still log in later that day and refine manually, but if you miss dil-o-clock twice or more, it will trigger).

Thank you for the info. I will have to check this out. When I have been away on vacation, and returned, I haven't noticed any changes or such I will pay closer attention in the future. Thanks again for the responses.

Been a while since I was a gold (regular old active subscription) but this is what I (vaguely) remember:

If I was on at "dil-o-clock" (thinking Midnight GMT, 7pm Central Time US) then the 8k daily refine automatically "went off".
If I wasn't on at the right time, as part of my first login for the day the auto-refine would trigger. If I was "offline" for a stretch, then as part of the auto-refine, it would "catch up" on "missed" refining opportunites, up to 7 days worth. For example, if I took a day off from STO, when I'd log in the system would refine 16k dil instead of 8 (the "missed" day and the current day's).
Detecting big-time "anti-old-school" bias here. NX? Lobi. TOS/TMP Connie? Super-promotion-box. (aka the two hardest ways to get ships) Excelsior & all 3 TNG "big hero" ships? C-Store. Please Equalize...

It can be easy not to notice as the notification happens before all the Duty Officer and Admiralty completions. So if you have a lot of those it is scrolled to obscurity pretty fast.

I have noticed no such thing,. Say I have 31k unrefined dil, and I log on, I will still have 31k dil unrefined until I actually hit the button for the 8k, and If I do not refine it myself and log on the next day it will still be at 31k unrefined until i hit the button.

The limit is 56k, 7 days x 8000 dil. You just have to log in once a week to keep it going.

Sometimes you'll need to go through a map transition for it to trigger the auto refine.

Auto-refine usually happens upon long-in, and usually it happens if you missed the previous 24 hr+ cycles.

If you hit the refine button then you have refined for the 24 hour period and it won't autorefine that when you log on the next day. However, if you didn't log on the next day and instead logged on two days after you refined you would log on to 8k autorefined and the capability to hit the button to refine 8k more. I actually had an issue with my computer a few months ago and it was everything it could do to just log on, let alone getting to the inventory tab to manually refine. I got on just long enough to see the 8k refined and left.

yep which is why the last thing i do is start doff/admiralty that pays out Dil. when I come back there is something that will aouto refine, and when i leave i rinse and repeat. it's not much but every little bit...
