I find it really annoying that I can't select & fill all of my ground & space trait slots separately. This is especially annoying doing missions that have ground & space mixed because you are not allowed to change your traits mid-mission before engaging in combat. So I suggest that you separate them in some way. This would greatly improve game play.

Problem is that the last time they did that -- with the Rep Traits-- they knocked down how many you can have in each to 4 space, 4 ground. If it's a full 9 at level 60 in each, then yeah, but not something like a 5/4 split.
In fairness cutting it down to 4 space and 4 ground for rep passives isn't totally unreasonable, things would have potentially spiralled out of control if we got one of each for every new rep.
As for traits, well everyone who bothers to swap traits around goes all out for the area they are speccing for so 9 space and 9 ground is completely reasonable and I would support it.
I would like it to be split into ground/space for captain traits. atm I only slot space traits cause ground doesn't matter so much for me. I'm never going to change traits when I go do a ground map, too much effort.

I also suggest separate loadouts for ship & ground that loads the appropriate space & ground traits so we don't have to select them manually. However based on the track record with ship loadouts, it would need to be done correctly & tested before rollout.
