Traits removing themselves

zepharynthezepharynthe Member Posts: 169 Arc User
Both space and ground traits mysteriously and randomly unlock from my Cardassian officer.

Set traits
play a while
check traits
some of the assigned space and ground traits have removed themselves.
Go back to a social zone
reset traits
play a while
check traits
some have mysteriously and randomly removed themselves
rinse, repeat

Sadly, yeah, this is a really old bug. No surprise it's affecting Cardassians on Tribble since it affects everyone* else on Holodeck. Not every character every time, but I have enough alts and it's happened to most of them at some point over the years.

*I don't mean to say everyone as in every single player and/or playable species, just that it happens to me across multiple accounts and species

I hadn't experienced this for a while, until recently I got some new traits from lock boxes. I think one of the things that triggers the bug is new traits. I know it's also triggered by level progression early on.

It is an old bug. It's affected my toons on Holodeck as well. It doesn't hurt though to report it and remind the devs it's still out there and hasn't been corrected yet. I'd say the bug reports here during an expansion are seen far more often by devs than any on Holodeck's forum. And since it's an old bug I doubt people are reporting it much there any more.

I doubt they will fix it anytime soon mate, Currently they're too busy fixing bugs that are actually related to VIL, and are probably gonna focus on it for atleast until next year

Perhaps, but I've also noticed they like to try and clean things up after releasing a new expansion, likely in anticipation for an influx of new players. I noticed they've added new VO in some of the early Fed missions, and finally fixed the VO on several episodes, including Temporal Ambassador. That VO had been missing for over a year.
