farming particles

In particular, in my case, z-particles. I have 4 toons that all have 20th level in cannons, with with all of them I can make 46 superior cannon tech upgrades every 15 minutes, if they have the components needed to make them.

I've been buying z-particle stacks off the exchange, but want to know what's a good way to get Z-particles. Costs be about 20 mil for a stack of 999 z-particles, and right now I can sell a stack of 100 superior cannon tech upgrades for 7.3 mil, I also need beta-tachyons which are cheaper, craylon gas, and rubidium, but I still think I'm making profit making the upgrades, I sell for more than I buy them for.

I remember the exploration clusters, we no longer have, where I could farm from nodes in missions, but those are gone. Doff missions take time to complete, I wonder if there's a faster way to get z-particles, if there's anything like that anymore.

Not sure what you get specifically but Salvaging Items rewards different types of particles in addition to the Salvage. That would be slow. You may also get some with the Research Lab Daily Craft XP Mission.

Honestly, I have never tried to just farm a particular type of particle.

Between Salvaging and running Advanced or Elite Queues I just always seem to have plenty of everything. Most Queues that you run give you a pretty good amount of Crafting Materials.. that's where I get the majority of mine.

I usually run Argala and just salvage everything. Keeps me well supplied.

enough to get several (or maybe many) stacks of 999? I'm guessing by "plenty of everything" you don't need/want them in those quantities.

Best way to craft is buy the materials, craft, sell, reinvest some and pocket profit. Also have a spreadsheet so you know when its cheaper to make the R&D components or cheaper to craft them, sometimes that market gets flooded with components and its best to buy completed parts. On that spreadsheet list all the upgrades, components and materials.

After a while you should become EC rich enough that bothering with all that is too much effort, then take you fortune and invest it in things long term, start flipping stuff short-medium term or selling upgraded fancy gear for fancy prices to fancy fellas( its easy to sell the right omni for 100m if you've got 40m to invest.)

Particles drop randomly. There's no good way to farm just one of them.
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.

Unlike in most other MMO's, you can go out and farm in the field, can't do that in this one.

In sector space there are Abandoned Ships, Unexplored Nebula, and Comets (Unnamed, I think) which drop random particles.

Indeed it's much easier in this game all you have to do is run admiralty.

that's still slower, just going out and mining rocks, chopping trees, fishing etc, would be a lot faster. Rather than waiting for HOURS for admiralty missions to complete.

R&D farming died when the old star clusters were removed and Cryptic placed R&D Mats into the Doffing system, Admiralty, Lockbox and C-store which all happen to be RNG which sucks more than a 100 cheap hookers. Even going into missions is RNG on what R&D mats might be generated. Salvaging is also RNG.

How about placing specific R&D mats in bundles in either the dil store or the GPL store to suck some of that excess GPL off us ?

Hello rubber banding my old friend, time to bounce around the battlezone again, where are all my bug reports going?, out of love with this game I am falling, As Cryptic fail to acknowledge a problem exists, Shakes an angry fist, And from Support all I'm hearing are the sounds of silence.
