My KDF toons want to join my Fed Fleet - Cryptic pls make it so!

My KDF characters want to join my Fed fleets. Since the KDF and Fed are now allies, can joint missions together, essentially there is no reason for the separate faction. At least allow any character to join any fleet. So a KDF or KDF aligned can join a Fed fleet, or a Fed or Fed aligned character can join a KDF fleet. Hey Worf has been going back and forth for decades - no reason why I can't have a choice where to place my toons.

    Removing factions or any limitations related to them, would essentially mean rebuilding large parts of the game so the chances of that happening anytime soon is more or less 0%.

    What is needed to remove factions from the game even in the simplest form is to reprogram how each species NPC reacts to all other species (since on the code level factions don't really exist and everything is done with species) not mention having to reprogram missions and so forth.

    It's simply too much effort for too little reward from a technical standpoint.

    They do need to make cross faction grouping possible, it would be nice if KDF/Fed could visit the others starbase, problem is if we are not teamed we appear as enemies. So all the npc on our starbases would try to kill our friends lol. I say cross faction teaming without a que would be good enough.

    This can not happen, and there has only just been a thread about this. There is a back end issue that means the game would need some major recoding. This is not an easy thing to do.

    The very simple reason why this can't happen also is that for half the episodes, the factions are AT WAR with each other, and there still needs to be an option to allow for this, as as history shows, there will be small conflicts, even with small KDF factions.

    The easiest option is to remove ALL those episodes, but that's a huge amount of content.

    If your KDF warriors wish to join the feds then they should be executed for treason. Not all Klingons accept this so-called “alliance” with the federation pataQs. In fact, some of us are fighting daily to remove the federation from our border in Ker’rat. As the bodies pile up, laborers fill the mines at Rura Penthe, and federation ships burn in the cold vacuum of space, the hatred between our people grows. And make no mistake, if I ever catch a feddy bear on Qo’nos or our fleet Starbase it will quickly feel my cold blade in enter into its spine.

    Well at bare minimum they should allow us to get invites to each others starbase. If the 2 can exist in social zones together, then why not starbases? If the 2 can be in a grouped Q together, then why not stabases. There should be little code work that is preventing that.

    Psst: "Sister" (or "brother") fleets to existing armadas can easily roleplay this kind of thing away to one's hearts desire.

    With all due respect... would you dishonor your house by attacking someone who was willing to sacrifice themselves to save Qo'nos just because they aren't Klingon? And it certainly sounds like you'd stab them in the back to boot! Not exactly an honorable act.
    Your own Chancillor has spoken, and there are bigger threats out there, like the Hur'q.

    Or do the lives lost in the defense of Qo'nos against the Undine mean nothing?

    Second... You forgot already that the captain of the Federation's own flagship, USS Enterprise... is an ANDORIAN?

    With that kind of talk I'm surprised you're not ranting against the Gorn, Nausicaans, and Orions serving in the Empire as they aren't Klingon either.

    Well, I’m glad you enjoy being the feds token trill. Why would I have any problem with Gorn and Naussicans serving the Empire? Klingon rule is brutal, but unlike fed rule, it is honest. We do not hide behind diplomats and treaties to enslave worlds. We use might and Klingon guile. That way, there is no question who is ruler. What do feds know of true power?

    Nothing quite like people roleplaying Klingons on the forums; they always sound like they came from a poorly-written fanfic or Voyager episode.

    Have a federation friend send your KDF character a bridge invite. Then make your way to the transporter room.
