...So says Taavenuu, the Security Chief on Dranuur. I really would like to point out that we are getting points for running a simulation inside a game, but he seems so grumpy at the end about giving us any points when we wipe out his little program, so I guess it's probably better left unsaid. lol
Anyways, anyone have fun stories from the Colony Invasion Sim? Aggravating ones? Observations?
Personally, I'll never forget the TL (and as it turns out, member of the Hosting Fleet) who accused me of botting. Basically,as an eng, my job is dropping med gens, photonic barriers, etc. Rather than concentrate them all together where they are one big target, I circle the generator, dropping them as I go, healing the base turrets, etc, as I go. I usually roll my way around, because with Commando, I drop a mine every couple rolls. Anyways, this TL declares that my pattern is because I'm running a macro or something, and he boots me from the map when I say that I'm not. The person from their fleet who actually ran the Sim apologized afterwards, so there is that. Regardless, I know nothing about macros, etc, but it seems to me that writing one that would keep me on track going around the generator would be near impossible to write, as I get bounced all over the place by explosions, etc. If I were to accuse someone of such a thing, I'd be looking for the dude just sitting there, setting off kit mods, not the guy spreading them around AND laying out bonus mines...
So, what are your stories of messing around in the Colony Invasion Sim?
