For Christmas, I want to be able to exchange 5 doffs at once!

I usually trade all of my green doffs and bad blue doffs for white doffs for fleet credit. I hate waiting for each doff to finish. I really wish I could do 5 at once or even if they eliminated the 5 second delay. This would be a huge quality of life improvement for me!

    I second that.

Its really painful especially after opening a bunch of delta doff packs...

I think it would be more useful if we could just put green/blue/purple doffs straight into the fleet project and have them count as the 3/9/27 whites they would turn into, without actually having to manually exchange them first.

    I like this idea.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.

It's a deliberate timegate to keep things in balance. If the timegate were removed, things would get out of hand very quickly.

I'm going to have to veto this one.

I disagree. It does not keep anything in balance. It just adds to the grind. If I really want to exchange my doffs, I can do so but at the expense of doing something else that's more fun.

There are a good number of folks who would single-handedly convert the entire game's supply of sensibly priced green, blue and purple DOFFs into fleet project inputs. The only reason they aren't doing it on that scale right now is because of the timegate regulation.

While I would personally benefit far more than most players from the removal of this particular timegate, its deregulation would cause far more harm than good to the average player. Veto.

Thanks for that observation. It makes a lot of sense. I still wish we could do multiple doffs at once...

It would be good for the game for (non-lockbox) doffs to be worth something again, as opposed to garbage you can barely manage to give away.

And nobody cares about your "veto."

I'd like to hear more about how it would be good for the game for (non-lockbox) doffs to be worth something again, why they're not worth something, and more about what happened. Please also tell me more about how they're garbage you can barely manage to give away, and why you can barely manage to give them away.

You only need to check the exchange to see that. Very few of the standard doffs sell for much of anything. Basically, the few that have a popular combat effect are worth a little and everything else is pure downgrinder bait. Because they're useless and turning them into something useful (whites) is more trouble than it's worth.

Only doffs that sell for high price are some of the lockbox ones. As such, there is basically no point looking for the rare assignments that reward doffs anymore (especially since the sector revamp made them all the more hard to find). Being that they were the best of what the doff system was good for, means there's basically no point in looking for any doff assignments anymore. Just dump colonists (and prisoners if KDF), maybe contraband and pick up some 50-dil assignments to fill up if you care. It's made the doff system as dead as the queues.
