Quick question about the different races/factions...

I am wondering if someone can tell me what (if any) are the advantages/disadvantages of the different races/factions. Are there any stat adjustments (Klingons being stronger than Humans, etc.)? And aside from the ship types and appearances, are there any significant differences in the factions? Thanks in advance!

    IIRC each race has it's own specific racial characteristics/traits. Klingons and Romulans (to me) have much better Faction specific mission arcs at the beginning. Feds have a huge advantage when it comes to the sheer number of ships/types to choose from and in my experience they also get a lot more stuff in giveaways.

    Race wise, every race has unique selections for traits and de-facto traits they start with (Only one that springs to mind is Caitian and Ferasan have improved jump ability, along with other small things)
    Faction determines just about everything else, such as ship choice (Personally a fan of Romulan ships), initial story arc (KDF and Romulan have more interesting ones), and Duty Officer missions (I find the Federation ones more palatable)

    Very cool. Ugh, so much to learn. LOL Have 5 character slots, have made 2 (TOS engineer, and Starfleet Tactical). May try out the Klingon and Romulan factions on 2 new toons. Still getting a feel for it all. Enjoying the tutorial and the first mission sets right after so far. One of these days I might even try to join a fleet... haha Thank you both for the answers.     LOL Thanks, soulless! Well, made the third toon (Orion, KDF Science). Interestingly enough, this new toon has a mission that has, among other rewards, a pet reward. Wondering if the story arc would have been any different if I had gone straight Klingon, but I doubt it. My 2 Starfleet toons haven't seen pets, and ship-wise, I am running with whatever upgrades I can get via missions, which hasn't been a lot, but I have been grinding through it. No clue how to build ships/officers/skills, as I am not sure what the higher levels look like.

    Awesome, coldnapalm! Thanks for the tips. I don't have anything yet in the way of resources, but the different teams and tactics is a huge help! Now to go see how badly I have been hosing myself... LOL
