launcher not launching

in Windows and General: PC, Network, and Other Technical Issues
as the title suggests, when i press engage it says connecting to sever then blinks off and never starts.

this just happened after the patch, was working fine before the patch. any help\suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Don't know why it says i'm an ARC user. i will never use that TRIBBLE Cryptic!

    are there no tech mods working here anymore? the event is on and i cant log in. can i please get some help?

    it should be further noted i was just able to log into my account using windows 7 on another partition. i usually use windows 10

    Windows 10 has issues with some games..It seems to hate them..

    Same issue with Win7. Played just before the Thursday patch, can't load since then.

    Just a question but are you trying to launch via Arc? For me my STO will not launch from ARC at all, but has no problem launching via steam. I dont even try to use Arc anymore unsurprisongly.
    Still waiting to be able to use forum titles

    It worked fine last night after I patched it, now it won;t boot up after I log in.having the very same problem.

    i use the legacy launcher... i wont use arc.

    For the love of god dont use any other launcher (ie: arc, steam or whatever) except STO legacy launcher..

    Try deleting everything in the cache and log folders in the main game folder..

    thank you for the advice, but i uninstalled deleted all related folders and reinstalled with same issue.

    i'm running Win8 and haven same issue when i hit lauch it loads normal then flashes and NOTHING no error message or anything just want lauch game. If it is ARC then this is FIRST ever probleom i have had since using ARC. infact this is first ever problem i have had with STO.

    I have same connection issue for two days..slow launcher,loading and lag/server not responding in game(especially in Winter Wonderland).I've try to launch the game alone and via Arc but nothing

    Seems like the launcher is down with Steam all of a sudden. Also, Google Chrome is having a lot of issues with a lot of sites all of a sudden...

    Hoping the problems resolve themselves, otherwise I'm powerless it seems and just frustrated.

    Yep, where having the same issue. Says launch server can not be reached. Pinged the server and got no response. Got to love it.

    Funny thing was STO launched fine at 22:45 GMT.

    As for google chrome, it's fine with some website and others have just gone into meltdown. Thankfully...or weirdly I've found that if I can get to some sub-pages. Such as the forums page for this website, then it kinda works. Click the support button...google meltdown and took too long error nonsense.

    Damn tech-from-hell misery moments...
