Flak Cannon can no longer be acquired

So I bought the Pilot ship bundle planning to get the flak cannon from competitive rep to replace the ugly lightning experimental weapon. I dropped the money but no flak cannon. For three weeks I've daily tried at different times, now its another long Sunday and not a single competitive instance has launched. I tried the red alerts but same deal no matter which I try it just puts me in an endless queue, and that's not really a viable alternative anyway since it gives so little, i need 400 more marks and 3 of the purple items.

I missed the Mirror events, should I forget about the entire competitive reputation? Is it possible to get refunds if its less than a month? I wanted the pilot ship to build around the flak cannon.

    get the allied escorts bundle for the railgun, one of the strongest heavy weapon so far and it would be an account wide unlock.

    in addition if you really want the flak cannon, binary circuit elite runs from time to time especially when people call for them in the dps chans and subcomms.

    Is it the ques are not popping? If so just run one that has the all marks choice box. To get the purple thingy, ie elite Mark, there is a rep project to turn in marks I believe 100 for 1 of the Elite marks. Can be run once per 20 hours. You can also wait till the winter event starts and raise epohhs, there to turn in for marks. No que needed but you have to run in the pvp capture the flag there. Or raise epohhs on new Romulas, same deal trade em in and get marks choice boxes.

    No, you cannot get a refund. Purchases from the C-Store are final.

    I think the Tzenkethi Red Alert gives half decent marks, instead of the paltry 10 the other two do. It should hopefully pop a bit more often, being newer, and I would expect a decent pick-up in it being run once the Winter Event starts up in a few days.

    Also, if you've not completed the Competitive Wargames rep, it gives you enough resources to buy one Rep item, depending on how far into the Tiers it is, it might very well be easier or quicker to finish the rep using the daily bonus marks from Red Alerts than grind out the resources directly.

    Sadly the mirror event was your best option to get the comp rep done in a timely fashion. I wouldn't bet on the winter event either since raising birds & monkeys also didn't give us comp marks last summer event. So yeah, we'll see how that plays out in a week or so.

    Most people if they even bothered doing the "competitive rep" are happy to have put it behind them.

    This is how I did a chunk of the rep and all the unlocks from it. All three include competitive marks in the choice, a lot of other choice sources don't. With the daily mark bonus it's an easy backburner project that won't take much of your time for the week or so it takes.

    Tzenkethi gives better mark tally than tholian or borg. If you're patient (which you'd have to be to get any competetive specific queues to pop) then drop 100 marks each day onto the task that gives the rep currency item until you can buy the flak.

    Or level up the rep and use the freebies to buy the flak although on a first character this will take a little bit longer

    ummm the flak cannon is still in the rep store... you just need the marks. grind it doing borg & tolian red alerts. Tolian gives more, so do that for the daily bonus... then you can spend the extra 5 mins doing borg for the extra 15? marks.

    Borg and Tholian give the same. Tzen'kethi gives more.

    Going to third the point that the railgun is the best, at least as far as easily accessible experimentals. Proton Charge or the Miradorn Heavy Missiles are also damn good

    Borg RA has a very short wait time so just run that guy. It grants all the rep mark types.

    Competitive marks were excluded from the summer event because they were too new at the time. There's no reason to exclude them now.

    That was one of the statements, we got a different answer on pretty much every plattform they replied on. Forgotten, bug, deliberatly excluded, etc.

    Someone figured out why back for the summer one, its because the races are too competitive.

    You can snag them on console, in the 40 mark bonus box

    Ra's Borg and Tholian gives you 65, Tzenkethi gives you 100 or 95 (that's with the bonus), i only do the Tzenkethi RA :wink:
