During the Winter event I will often play exclusively in the Winter Wonderland with all my characters. I realize I'm probably one of a few who do this. When I've brought in low level characters to the Winter Wonderland I've done a fair amount of leveling. When I return to the game the characters have in some cases out-leveled the missions they need to do. I realize the missions adjust for levels, but I kind of like doing missions when I'm at the level they're originally designed for.
So I was wondering what you all would think about the possibility of being able to turn off XP during an event. Then, when the event is over, the 'saved' XP could be cashed in for items like Kit Modules, or Ship / Medical Regenerators, things like that. You still earn items in the event, just not XP. So if you bring in a lvl 10 character for the event, it remains at lvl 10.
I realize many people wouldn't want to do it (heck, I'm probably the only one who would). I've played another game where you could turn off leveling XP but that was because the XP would go towards something else. That doesn't apply for STO. Anyway, just wondering what you guys think. Thanks in advance!

Events are a nice way to level characters while still making progress toward whatever special magic ship is up for grabs. I genuinely don't see a logical reason for this.
XP on/off toggle might be handy for situations as you describe, but there's probably not a big enough demand for the team to devote time to it.
