Thinking of returning

I have been thinking about returning to the game. I loved STO but the KDF neglect drove me away.
Did they ever fix the bug with Gorn weapons being too small? KDF ever get any love?
I had a lot of lifetime member zen built awhile ago because I really wanted the Durgath but I didn't win even after spending about 15k zen. I seen Feds can get a really nice dread from lobi with the vengeance ship but nothing like it for KDF. I have over 3000 lobi if I remember correctly.

Worth coming back if I am set on KDF and is it possible to still get a Durgath or has some other equivalent been released?

    What was the Durgath? Either way KDF has a lot of nice new ships. The Ferasan Escort is impressively deadly.

    It depends on what you're looking for upon returning.

    Just be warned, currently the content is little more than, "Go here. Pew that." If you can press the space bar. You can win.

    And it's a mix. Some of KDF ships are in the C-store and some are in lock boxes. With a few more in the lobi store.

    Ohh, the KDF Stretch Limo. ;) Sadly, if that was your only goal in spending 15k in Zen for keys, you'd have been better off selling those keys. You'd have at least 585M EC. Still not enough to buy it; you'd need 1.4B since it comes in the same pack you choose the T6 Connie in. But 3k lobi is a nice chunk. Too bad there are no T6 KDF ships in the lobi store.

    There are other TOS looking KDF ships for 400M-ish if one of the lockbox ships is what you want.
    If you like KDF cruisers: the Miracle Worker ships are newest, so due to power creep, are probably 'the best'?
    Or the T6 Flagship bundle is a nice set. Depends if you are going for looks or best stats.

    If you go for a C-store ship or bundle, I would highly suggest you wait till Black Friday. There should be a decent sale on stuff; if saving Zen/money is something worth waiting till Nov.24th for you.

    Honestly if the lack of love shown to the KDF side drove you away to be honest with you nothing has changed KDF gets the very minimal of attention because Cryptic say the ships dont sell as well as the fed ones... But as they dont show the KDF any love it has less players so less sales..... its a chicken and the egg argument...

    If you are returning for better love for the KDF then I'd say it's a mixed bag. As of recent Cryptic has started releasing ships in packs more so every faction gets a shiny new ship. Miracle worker ships are one example of this. That being said, it's a limited love gambit since past ship types like the Intel bundle hasn't changed to shore things up for the KDF and Romulan factions. Instead people are driven towards the lockbox system which is a gamble.

    KDF starbases still beat out fed ones though with big fire places and dancing orions on the tables. So there is that.
    Green people don't have to be.... little.
