Devs: Is it possible to rework the way PVE queue "drops" are rewarded?

When you play a group/team PVE queue like "Infected: Conduit Advanced" or the new "Dranuur Gauntlet" item drops from destroyed ships are rewarded to players at random based on the pass/need/greed selection and a random "roll of the dice."

I really wish it was possible to add one other metric to each item drop:

Percentage of damage done to the target that dropped the item by each player.

In other words, if I destroy a Borg tactical cube by myself (inflicting 100 percent of the damage that destroyed the cube) because the rest of the team was on the other side of the map then there should be a 100 percent chance that I receive any item drops from that ship (after the pass/need/greed selection).

If the whole team helps bring down an enemy ship then each player has a chance to receive the item(s) dropped from that enemy ship based on the percentage of damage they dealt: If you inflicted 30 percent of the damage that destroyed that enemy you have a 30 percent chance to receive the item.

I'm just tired of players who contribute very little to a group queue being given the same chance to receive item drops when other players do the work.

If you destroy a ship and I didn't help because I was on the other side of the map then I don't deserve that item drop. It shouldn't be entirely up to the players' selection of pass/need/greed and random chance ... and it isn't fair to expect each player to know what items they should "pass" on when there are massive numbers of drops being picked up at the same time and you can't tell which item dropped from which ship.

Devs, please add the percentage of damage dealt by the player to the calculation table for item drops in group queues.

If storing all that combat data is too complex and would lead to serve lag then I can understand why you would leave it the way it is now, but it seems like the data is already being recorded by the combat log, so I hope there's a way to implement this change.

That is a terrible idea. DPS gods would win everything and there would be no point in playing STF's for the average players.

Why would that be a terrible idea? Just motivates players to become better at dealing DPS.

Absolutely horrible and stupid idea to the max.
Basically your saying only tactical captains deserve drops and not engineers or science captains.

    Just... NO!
