Request: Message Indicating You Are Making A Duplicate Reputation Item

I do not see any point in allowing for more than one Reputation item as most people don't want to spend dilithium for a duplicate item.

A warning message would suffice. I was almost going to suggest "no Duplicate Reputation item allowed", but someone might have an exception.

Duplicate item occurs when a player has too many Captains under one account and loose track of items they already possess. Which brings up another bug... The Click-On-Slot to list items you can equip does not always list every item available.

    Wrong forum. You need to make 'requests' in the Feedback forum.

    Speak for yourself, I've duplicated even triplicated a number of items over the years.
    Some people even equip their entire away teams with compression phaser rifles from voyager.

    They do have a Feedback forum, and it's clearly labelled at the bottom of the list of Forums on the main Forum page. The Feedback forum is the Forum that Dev's are more likely to read, not General Discussion.

    Besides ground equipment, some players actually equip multiple ships with full gear, or replacing their "old" MK XII gear with new MK XIII after leveling an AoY toon. There are many logical reasons for allowing players to purchasse multiple of Rep gear, but yes, please, please, please add a warning pop up.
    I myself have accidentally purchased duplicate Rep gear when going for a full set. Not wanting to lose the set bonus for the current gear, and having limited inventory space, I was putting the rep gear in the bank until I had the full set. and doing that with multiple toons, (most of them working on the same rep gear), I screwed myself a few times and bought duplicates. Of course I now double and/or triple check first, but yeh, a lot of dil, marks, and "elite marks" wasted, a "duplicate item" warning would be a great improvement.

    I do not need a silly pop up screen telling me I am making a duplicate item.

    I am mature enough and have the mental capacity to verify if I had already obtained a piece of reputation gear. Maybe I actually do want a duplicate item because I have a valid reason for doing so. I do not need an automated babysitter.

    wouldn't mind a msg telling me that I have that piece of gear already. WOuld be difficult though, since there could be differences in tier and rarity which would make giving adequate information quite tricky aka. more bugs.

    Also, some players can like certain shield/deflector/engine visuals or stats enough to equip it on both starship and shuttle.

    Two words: Human error. Mistakes can happen, they don't make anyone any more or less mature or intelligent.

    You know you can simply do that with the shuttle's loadout and one set of gear ? Although tbf I've moved over MkXII sets on a couple of characters to shuttles once MkXIII UR Rep gear became the default for those of us who ran a Temporal Recruit ("the universe hates waste" :)).
