Klingon Discovery Costumes

We’ve had the discovery uniforms released on pc and console, so where is the KDF style uniforms as seen in the series. Us KDF players have little choice when it comes to outfitting our toons and if we want a more stylish uniform then payable additions comes into play. We got given the worf sash because of the 30th anniversary but fed players got access to the next gen costume aswell and all we got was a hairstyle. I’m kind of glad that there is some decent ships coming soon with the miracle worker packs but I would like to see Cryptic and Perfect World bring the exceptional Klingon costumes from Star Trek Discovery.

Only one single complete canon KDF uniform is available ingame at all. The KT robes from ID. Not a single other sausage. The chances of getting anything from DSC is as good as the chances we'll ever get the full TOS version they made for AoY (we won't) or the chances of a revamp of the TNG uniform (well the TMP to VGR uniform anyway) for all the TNG hype at the anniversary (i.e. again, no chance).

Klingons ingame can't even get costumes the devs have made never mind ones they haven't yet.

Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though.
JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

difference here i CAN see, though Artan.

    1. CBS wants you to forget the TOS and TNG looks for Klingons. Desperately.
    2. CBS owns the license Cryptic is using for the game.

I suspect we may be facing better odds that the Discovery 'look' will become mandatory..

CBS wants nothing of the sort.

    Laughable.

The TOS ones are available if you rolled a AOY character, I'm using them on a few KDF characters.

Word on the grapevine is that we will see TOS style Klingons in Discovery at some point. Maybe even a D-7.

Lt. Tyler is an 'Arne Darvin'.

The 'normal' Klingons will show up from the Mirror Universe. The Mycelium Drive will be interconnected with all this.

As much as I hate these new Klingons, I do like that Torchbearer armor for its looks.

Yeah.. it looks like it is worth a lot of energy credits in the recycle bin. It's suppose to be "combat" armor. But the overall design is that of someone who does not want to go in to combat at all. It would be ineffectual.

Not to mention that one "klingon" in TRIBBLE has already "accidently" stabbed himself with his own bat'leth.

So far Star Trek: Discorey is living up to the acronym that most call it, TRIBBLE.

However, personal feeling aside. If the TRIBBLE Klingon look is put in-game. I can live with it.

If it's made the mandatory appearance. Then the highest likelihood is that I'll have to alien gen all my klingons, to look like real klingons. Not some screwed up looking space bat/monkey hybrid thing.

But, given we already have a Klingon look in game. For all klingons, which would require a lot of time and effort on Cryptic's part to go in and change them all. The best likelihood here is that, if it's added, it will be as an appearance option.

    Edit:

And if you read through here:

    https://www.arcgames.com/en/forums/startrekonline/#/discussion/1234840/so-the-new-klingons/p1

I've already come up with a more plausible reason for their appearance and which could how they are a part of the game.

For the D-7, as I posted in the Klingons forums about it.

Retcon actually means "Retroactive Continuity." It was first coined by a comics writer named Roy Thomas. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/RetCon

They call them Klingons because they are Klingons.

Ridge headed aliens from Kronos. Created and owned by CBS who can call whatever they damn well please a Klingons you weird little nutter.

The only thing that's being retconed is that some Klingons look like theses ones. Not that other Klingons now look like these ones.

It's retroactive continuity, not retraction of continuity, look it up. Or, you know, actually read the post you replied to.

Not sure what's missing? Got 2 tops + trousers/belt/boots for males, 3 tops + shorts/boots for females plus chainguards depending on costume.

more like it's a similar case to the pre-revamp galaxy model - good enough to pass muster to normal people, but the fan(atic)s won't be satisfied unless it's a 200% match to what was shown onscreen, down to every loose thread
Like special weapons from other Star Trek games? Wondering if they can be replicated in STO even a little bit? Check this out: https://forum.arcgames.com/startrekonline/discussion/1262277/a-mostly-comprehensive-guide-to-star-trek-videogame-special-weapons-and-their-sto-equivalents
