New site background image.

While I do like the new background for the site, why does it feel like Cryptic is just a little too happy to have gotten Levar burton in-game? The first thing I think of when I see it is just a little kid going up to their parents, shoving a toy in their face, and saying "look what I have" with a big grin on their face.

They need to adjust it a little, I always use "Request Desktop Site" on my phone cause that's the only way to get quotes and signatures to work on mobile, but the way the new background image is positioned I had no idea Kuumarke was in it until I got on my computer, it's cut off just before Geordi's combadge.

This one, and the one before, never really do Kuumaarke justice.

I'd be jazzed if my Trek game got LeVar Burton, too.

It looks fine to me, and I'm going to guess marketing wants to promote Burton to new players more than Kuumaarke.

Though I would not mind the other meaning, too. :3

Hehe. :) Seriously, I'm sure you'd do a better job at Kuumaarke than the wallpaper artists they've been using of late.

As to the "Grinning Geordi" .... I rather like it.
He'd fit right in with my Han and Lando Avatar.

I might give it a go...not sure I can totally make Kuumaarke accurate, though, but I can give it a try. I need to get some more renders for my comic made, anyhow.

I find Kuumaake's eyes distracting somewhat, like they look as if her left eye isn't seeing the same thing her right eye is seeing. Other than that the rest of it seems fine.
    T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW.
Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.

To be fair, this one is quite the improvement. At least her expression dosen't look like someone is walking in on her while she's changing her clothes.

True that. But her mouth is all wrong in the current one. Just doesn't look like Kuumaarke in game at all.

If you do her (I mean CG art. XD) then I'm sure it will be much better than what we've seen so far! :) Kudos for even contemplating it!

Why does Kuumaarke have to be bald?

Because cryptic designed both lukari and kentari without hair.
    * gives special Draggy hug to the Tzenkethi *

Cause he feels left out of the discussion............you are all mean by the way.

Well, I mean they could have told us to leave those space spider eggs and those planets alone. Instead they just bomb the sh*t out of every planet and civilization they come across without a single word.
They'll get hugged when they've learned their lesson and actually deserve a hug.

They'll get hugged when they've learned their lesson and actually deserve a hug.

Every entirely fictional alien race in STO deserves a hug. They have to put up with players like us ... so the least we can do is give them a hug before we kill another 60 Tzenkethi away team members and destroy another fleet of Tzenkethi ships in the new red alert.

** Gives hug to Tzenkethi ... just before stabbing the Tzenkethi in the stomach with Furiadon Fangs. **
In the immortal words of Captain Sisko: "It may not be what you believe, but that doesn't make it wrong."

Don't believe the lies in this forum. I am NOT an ARC user. I play STO on Steam or not at all.

I have no problem with the current forum art.

Of course they're proud that LeVar Burton is doing voice overs. Nothing wrong with showing that.

Just a check. But they do not put villains up in the banners. Does this mean we are about to shift to working with the Tzenkethi?

hmm I don't quite remember them all. But I wouldn't be surprised if that's indeed a development we'll see.

    In the last episode,
Kumaarke managed to convince some of them that we have a common enemy after all.
