Can we get Coffin Ships? A Coffin Class?

The thought of having modular coffins on the outside of a ship had never occurred to me before TRIBBLE. Now that it is canon, I wonder how long it will be before we can add coffins to our aresenal. I could see them functioning like another layer of shields, or perhaps an offensive ability combining coffins rigged with mini explosives and a scrape the paint variant. Visuals might even be tweaked to allow players the ability to customize what coffins go where in the modular design, allowing for a sort of pixelation that could be used to completely redrawn the exteriors of ships. The bridge interior could allow you to walk by coffins named after prisoners and crew members you've executed, little memento.

Then we can have escorts, cruisers, and dreads all with custom Coffin builds. And this will all be KDF exclusive, once, and for all.

As great an idea as whosoever it was to make this "discovery" show.

It would be a new cosmetic upgrade for the torps. We already have shields and beams etc.

There's precedent for Coffin use on the fed side with how they bury their dead.

Well that yes. Infact I remember a player made mission that actually had the torp coffin in the mission. Was pretty cool. So the asset is clearly there or was 2-3 years ago.

That's because you are a smart person and TRIBBLE is stupid.

Heheh... well I generally like the show.

But I will say I think they crazy for changing the Klingon look yet a third time! They started looking like Khan / TNG Klingons in Star Trek Enterprise, now we have Discovery's look before ToS more human appearance, explained by Enterprise as some not all being cloned... but now that all have been changed to Discovery's look with major not less subtle differences between the Houses...

How do they then end up to again looking like they appeared on Enterprise back to the original Khan / TNG Klingons. I think they made bad choice to change Klingon appearance yet again...

My larger issue is my goodness the Discovery is an UGLY ship. I mean so far all the others I've seen in the series are fine on the Fed side - but Discovery is horrible. :)

Not sure how I feel about Klingon Coffin ships either... I guess we'll just have to wait and see if going backward in the timeline will result in another Enterprise early conclusion...

I've seen ships that could be described as being coffin ships. Death traps, they are.

We already have coffin ships in game; they're the Kobali ships (like the one we got from the event); it appears literally modeled after an old-fashioned wooden coffin. No one noticed this before?! :)

Most of my ships end up as coffins for their crew.... but not as many as the fools who try to attack said ship...

Well, we have the Saratoga available for the Light Cruiser. That ship is Starfleet's designated coffin.

You see these big metal birds high in the sky? They create vapor trails and make noises from their engines? Those are pressurised coffins with wings and engines and they not a lot different from that upside down spoon with nacelles that fires photons and phasers.

    T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW.
Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.

Well, technically we already have a "Coffin/Corpse" Torpedo with the "Saboteur Delivery Vehicle Photon Torpedo":

    https://sto.gamepedia.com/Saboteur's_Gambits

It even comes with an image of some poor-soul trapped in it.

Just role-play that the torpedo is releasing a zombie/borg "Insert Race" into the ship upon hull penetration! :)

Hadn't even thought of weaponizing zombies using the coffins. Brilliant!

You do realise that if it was introduced, it would be as big, if not bigger than the Universe class fed ship, around twice the length and height of a Bortasqu ship?

I thought it looked like a zombie Xenomorph head. Also the special attack of the Kobali ship is where it grabs the nacells of the enemy ship and eats the brains... err bridge with a "Nom nom nom!" sound effect is cool.
