Players who acquire this ship will be able to use its ship costume on the Lukari Ho’kuun [T6] as well.

Also, science raider in the form of a totally new ship type, Scout Vessel, missing only a cloak or battle cloak:
Scout Ships are a unique combination of Science Vessel capabilities, in a much smaller, faster and more fragile package. They come with built-in Sensor Analysis and Subsystem Targeting, as well as a Secondary Deflector slot, and are able to benefit from Raider Flanking bonuses as well. These nimble vessels are also similar to a Raider in that they boast an abundance of universal bridge officer seats, can load dual cannons, and have similar weapon slot configurations.

A big thank you to Cryptic for making that flying saucer design happen, for the real nice Skant - across all factions! -, the super sweet TNG galaxy class interior (I haven't picked this up yet, a bit pricey, maybe some day with a sale), the Scout Vessel class which I hope will be popular and make for a T6 variant in the future, the TNG shuttle, weekend event store account-wide unlocks, and whatever other cool stuff I might have missed or might yet come along.

    Scout Ship sounds like it might actually become a new subcategory of ships. Maybe something that can be used for the Tier 6 Nova?

    Good way to recycle a popular design that didn't win the vote. Very well done. And even provide incentive for people who don't want a T5 to get it by making its model usable by the T6 Lukari ship.

    Agree, kudos to Cryptic for adding that switchable skin feature!

    I usually don't participate in Lock Box gambling & haven't spent anymore $ since Cryptic has yet to fix my account, but it seems like Cryptic did pretty well with this Tzenkethi Lock Box offerings.

    I like the look of the science scout class, but the ship design is just not my cup of tea. Hate to say it though I do wish they would have done it as a tier six ship.

    Would not have minded if they released a community ship-design pack that allowed you to buy the various designs from the community contests, and then apply them to the ship from that contest (I would not mind if this were done both for the Lukari and the Jupiter contest) many might buy such a pack.

    Nice of them to give the option to use the skin on the "Scorito", That's the design I was rooting for in the contest, might pick one up if it's a reasonable price on the Exchange.

    Well I really don't care much for the saucer design since I prefer it if saucers were reserved to the Federation ships and if aliens used their own unique designs, but at least those who wanted it can get it now.

    I really hope a T6 Oberth will be a c-store ship like the T6 Miranda, I would be very disappointed if it wasn't. But I don't really see it as a scout ship since it was supposed to be a science ship.

    There's a Jem'Hadar Scout Ship... that doesn't fall into this definition. This'll be pretty confusing to players.

    In the section that you quoted just after this, they called it "Scout Ship", not "Scout Vessel".

    The Nova is already classified as a Science Vessel. But there is precedent of an old ship switching ship types in favor of a brand new ship type at T6(Heavy raptor to Flight-Deck Raptor). So maybe...?

    Scout ships are a subcategory of science ship, though. With raider-like qualities, which would go astonishingly well with a phasic cloak (and if the cloak is a console, it helps keep the ship off of the toes of true raiders and allows those who want to play it as a more conventional sci ship an option for that.)

    Makes more sense than the Nova, IMPO.

    Keep in mind that it's "Scout Ship", rather than "Scout ship", as the "-Ship" part is included in the name of the ship type. Unlike "Science ship", which isn't a ship type("Science Vessel" however is)

    The comment that the scout-ship class would have an abundance of uni-seats sounds quite fun based on how many we are talking. Are we talking like a true raider having all of their boff slots being universal slots? Or are we talking the commander seat being science, and then the remaining of them being universal seats. I personally would have liked to see the boomerang design a bit more than the saucer, most of all since it has a pretty interesting layout for the engines as well as where we might see the weapon hard points.

    I thought the exact same thing the moment I read the description of the Scout Ship. Raider Flanking is something I never considered for a T6 Nova, but if they do go the Pilot route, it's a damn fine fit.
