Lightening Effect Around Enemy Ships

in Star Trek Online General Discussion
Whenever I go into Red Alerts or STFs, I see now where players activate some bridge officer power, rep power or weapon that engulf and surrounds the enemy ships (very noticeable around borg cubes and borg command ships).

I started noticing it within the last couple of months and can't figure it out.

Is it a temporal power? ... A console? a BOFF power?

Anyone know what it is????

    It doesn't normally glow as in these pics but you can see the electrical effect dancing in the screenshots.

    It looks like a Nomad Battleship from Freelancer. I haven't really noticed that effect on the red alert boss before.

    The effect in first pic seems to be ice, so it's probably the ice-themed aceton beam from the Winter event store.

    No sure about the second as there are several abilities dealing electric damage, but the most recent one is the Son'a universal console, Sensor Burnout.

    The Electrical effect is most likely electrical damage from Drain_Infection, as it is triggered from a multitude of abilities.

    The 'electric' effect is from the Eng Ultimate.
