No Martok Disruptor Turret?

So I notice that there is no Martok Disruptor Turret, only a 360 beam.

Beyond the nexus has both a special Phaser omni beam and a turret.

Can we have a turret for the Martok set?

Any particular reason, besides "because another set has one"?

That would be cool... I don't use beams as much as cannons.

When they do these unique "limit one per ship" type weapons in a set it would be nice to have one for the beam and cannon types, and/or for omni-array and turret, as it would keep the energy types abit more versatile in what sets you can use with your weapon choice (cannon or beam based). Having the set have both a cannon-type as well as beam-type option to slot just adds to options for what you can run on your ship weapon-type wise, and I prefer to see that what weapon-type the set might favor (if it does) is via the bonuses gained via slotting the set.Though in all honesty I would not mind if they made a turret type in the crafting system that would fill the area that omni-arrays have in the crafting system.

Its even worse of DBBs, they almost never get the fancy weapon.

Because every other set has one, pretty much.

Because it would allow more different builds.

While it's not the end of the world it sure is annoying that most such sets have to be incorporated in specific build types.
Would love nausicaan dhcs on my mat'ha but no dice. Quantum phase DBB or omni for my arbiter? No front focused build for you! And the list goes on and on.

I could imagine that they try to uphold some sort of balance as far as the set availability for different energy types is concerned.

If some likes to make cannon build Disruptor energy offers (cannon/turret + console):
    - Counter-Command Ordnance
    - Silent Enemy
    - Terran Task Force Munitions
    - Preserver Resonant Technologies Set

Phaser energy on the other hand offers (cannon/turret + console):
    - Counter-Command Ordnance
    - Quantum Phase Catalysts

Was about time that Phaser get some attention and Dsiruptor does not.

I do disruptor cannons and turrets for all of my KDF builds. It's more consistent with canon, although I admit there were some times that KDF ships in ST canon used beams. If I use the Martok disruptor turret, I can take advantage of the set powers, while using Cannon Rapid Fire and Cannon Spread Shot.

Almost every other set - the Antiproton from "Sphere of Influence" does NOT :p

That is a totally different kind of set. It is not a typical Space Set as it involves an Omni, a Warp Core, and, if you purchase the Advanced Obelisk, a Console.

A typical Space set from an Episode would involve a Beam Array or Dual Heavy Canon, a Torpedo, an Omni or a Turret, and a Console. One of the first three categories may be missing.

There should have been a Turret Option in this Set.

I agree with the OP, the lack of consistency in this game is extremely irritating. I was very surprised when they gave us a choice of weapon type with the recent prolonged combat phaser, that was a nice option. Wish there was more variety in the Lobi store for weapon sets, in terms of beam/cannon options.

I honestly wish that the different unique weapons of the different sets had something of a mechanic that let them shift between two different weapon types kinda like how the Dyson ships could mode-shift between the science mode an the destroyer mode. So like for instance with the Beam array in the Nausicaan set being the default mode, while it could also either switch a dual-beam bank mode or a omni-array mode, and considering that the real only difference would be a change in visual an stats not sure it would be that hard to do. This would also work in the rep sets too, such as that the default mode might be a single-cannon (or beam array) that could switch/mode-change into a dual-cannon mode (or a dual beam bank mode), also even though it would take more dev-time to create the mechanic system to work this in the end it could be used on so many sets (mission and rep based ones) that the time-investment does not look like it would be wasted.

Kinda ironic that the man famous for picking a bird of prey as his flagship is now associated in star trek online with a beam weapon set.
