So what is supposed to be the end game ship?
Tier 6 or Fleet Tier 6?

    Both are endgame.

Usually the Tier 6 comes with a trait you can unlock while the Fleet Ones have an extra console slot instead of the extra trait.

What's most common is that you buy the T6. Unlock the trait, then switch over to the Fleet version for the extra console slot. Since you can bring your traits from ship to ship.

T6 fleet is actually top end purely on ship hull/shields - stats. The particularities and traits of the T6 ships and lockbox ships compensate alot on those slightly larger stats. Both count as endgame. And some T5U ships also count as endgame ships if you have a well-built ship (T5u oddyseys, bortasqus and scimitars).

If you want to fly Vor'Cha, then you're stuck at T-5U, but that ship can still kick a lot of butt and survive well if built right. I keep T-5U Ships on my active Shipyard because they do well.

Tier 6 is the highest tier. You also have tier 5 upgraded ship, which is getting tier 5 ship to tier 6, almost (u lack 1boff ability and no new starship trait u could get), Some t6s are lacking, and because of that u have their so called fleet versions. Why would u buy them, and not go straight for fleets'? Because they possess those ships' consoles and traits (and having it, fleet version, instead of 5, costs only 1 fleet module).

T5 ship should be completely do-able as an endgame ship. The gear you have is more important than it being a T5 or T6.

Which one do people play more or is it the same?

Based on just looking around and occasionally clicking on a player ship then right clicking for more info about their ship, C-Store is the most used type.

Much of the time they're in a ship from three-pack for same faction/nine-pack cross-faction that come with 11 console spots and have 'fleet-grade' hull and shields out of the box. You can see those just by looking, an Odyssey or Scimitar is is a pack ship with no fleet variant available. The odd looking Temporal cross-faction ships are also in this category.

It's harder to see which variant a given ship that has both a C-Store and Fleet variant, you have to look at info in that case, and either look at the class name if it comes up with that instead of displaying their shuttle, or estimate if their hull strength is more in line with C-Store or Fleet.

Many of my Fleet-able ships are left C-Store only, as I feel it takes being committed to flying that ship on that character to be worth a 500Zen or ~15 Mil EC (on PC) Fleet Ship Module for a single-character unlock of the Fleet version.

T5 ship should be completely do-able as an endgame ship. The gear you have is more important than it being a T5 or T6.

I'll see you that, and raise you knowledge of game systems and piloting ability.

However, for a straight T5 with no upgrade it requires a bit more effort, particularly in survive-ability, than a T5-U orT6 thanks to the level-scaling hull boost. Escorts with scaling hulls tend to have more hull than T5 battle cruisers when you're level 60. The passives from Mastery can also be powerful depending on ship type and your playstyle.

I'll seconds (or 3rd) T5U!.. Thats pretty much my main ships these days..Yea Ill buy a T6 for the trait but I still regularly fly a Wells/R'mor and a Romulan Dyson Science Destroyer.

Heck, I bought T5(U) ships although I already had a .... few .... T6s, and, except for farming traits, the Captain in my siggy never flies anyting but the T5U in my siggy.
    LTS and loving it.

If zen is tight and you have a t5 then check the exchange for an upgrade module.

As other pointed out the ship is a platform for the gear so isn't as demanding as you might first think.

    Important caveat...

Ship upgrade tokens do not work with the free T5 ships players select at level 40. Additionally, it does not work with T5 Mirror Universe ships that can be purchased from the Exchange; they are simply variants of the free T5 ships.

All my characters have a T6 Carrier. I am a one-man wrecking crew! I absolutely love my Carriers!
So, I just push the buttons and things blow up? Fascinating...
