    Is the heavy railgun useful? Would upgrading it to epic/mkIV be worthwhile?

    I own the fleet phantom but didn't fly it in a while, it is one of the better escorts for sure. The railgun is a decent weapon, like a weaker cutting beam, epic mkXIV does around 5-6k dps.
