Connection issues again

Nettest times out, pathping says it's going to compute for 350 seconds and then sits there forever. I'm getting booted from the game every few seconds. I go through Comcast and haven't had this issue since hardwiring my computer in instead of using wifi.

Having just logged in and launched the game with absolutely no problems, I can confirm that the issue has either been fixed, or is not a server problem at all.
    LTS and loving it.

It probably isn't a server issue since one of my friends can still log on. I'm assuming it has something to do with where I'm located or where my connection is getting bounced around to. Really sucks since this seems to happen at least once a year regardless of where I'm living.

I started having these issues around Midnight EST as well- launcher just searches and searches for the patch server. If it connects (usually after several minutes), it stalls out at the character loading screen.

This morning I happened to see that Comcast had a fire in New York that burned through one of their core lines and many of the East Coast Comcast customers from DC to Boston were having significant packet loss and latency, if not outright losing internet. I don't know if that is the cause of all this or not, but there it is.

Ok, how do I do that? Even the website installer is linked to ARC

While this thread did get the necromancy treatment I'll get this in before it gets closed.

If that link for some reason doesn't work from these forums, Google "STO stand alone launcher", follow the search result link to either reddit or UFP and select the download link from there. I just followed both of those links and they are still valid.

My initial link didn't work so try these

What seemed to work for me before was I rebooted my computer then started arc then the STO launcher. Then I left it alone until it finished downloading what it needed.

I found that sometimes when I used my internet at the same time the launcher was trying to download a lot of stuff that the launcher would stall.

This might've been a fluke but it is what I observed.
Well whats the explination for me not being able to download the game? I have had this problem since yesterday
What do you mean exactly? Arc wont install the STO Launcher? Or the Launcher wont download files?

Is the game crashing ? Locking up ? Server not responding ?
Have you gone into your STO directory and checked the log files to see if they tell you anything. Also, in my experience, any time STO crashes, the windows event log will also contain information on what happened. All these things can be used to try and figure out what's causing your problems.
