Don't try FFBE, so many events at once you'd go bonkers :)

Why limited? Keep the event but maybe make those types of rewards limited.

    "What would Kirk do?"
Does that imply we will get some neat mini puzzle to hack into the halogrid and make changes?

Please have "Choice Marks" be a Choice from every type of Mark.

The test was the problem, and Kirk solved that problem. It’s never explicitly stated what Kirk changed when he **** the program (in a Star Trek novel it’s said that Kirk reprogrammed the Klingons to have a respectful fear of “The” Captain Kirk), but the gist of what we’re to understand is that Kirk didn’t hack the Kobayashi Maru to win, but rather to make it winnable. When Saavik accuses Kirk of cheating, he replies “I changed the conditions of the test!”

That’s key. Cheating is creating an unfair advantage, which Kirk would argue was the entire basis of the test. By changing the conditions - by evening out the odds - Kirk actually made the whole thing more fair, the opposite of cheating.

Tell that to Orci and Kurtzman, who have Kirk clearly cheat in the 2009 Star Trek reboot. He sits in his captain’s chair, munching an apple like an ****, while the enemy ships' shields suddenly drop for no reason at all. His hack was not to even the playing field but rather to give himself an unfair advantage, to have the Klingons be unable to defend themselves. The reboot Kirk has the victory simply handed to him. It’s hard not to side with Spock in this version of events.

hope this gives as all an example of the No win senario! and how krik did it!

simply put the only way to win it is to reprogram it so its win able .
    Wasn't he still out-numbered 3 to 1?

Why limited keep this queue around this is NWS was one of the most played queues when it was around and we all know that this game could do with queues THAT PEOPLE PLAY

They probably get tired of the dps monsters blowing through the NWS w/o breaking a sweat? ;)
Now after the nerf, they want to see if those same people can still do that.
This event is a test to see if more nerfing is needed.

Please can you nudge the Dev's to make sure they have installed AFK penalties for this event!!!

I want to actually have a decent run, and not have to be concerned about someone not even bothering to play who still gets a reward!!!

A weekend event during a long-term event? Shocking! They've only been doing those since weekend events became a thing. Last year we had Lohlunat, Episode replay and Temporal Agent recruitment running all at once for at least a week. Sure, this is the newest type of weekend event, and with a newly-repurposed map to go with it, but it's still just another weekend event.
This is an MMO, not a Star Trek episode simulator. That would make for a terrible game.

Nope. They don't care enough about non-fed factions or ship design concepts.

So, I guess all those alien ships are just "Federation" ships?

The ship designers have given T6 Klingon and Romulan Vesta equivalents, Miranda equivalents, the first T6 Ferasan vessel, a T6 dhelan which essentially marks the close of all launch Legacy of Romulus ships now at T6 and there's likely more still coming.

I'll be done on July 14th because yeah... I've been playing off and on. Sooo yeah, I am behind on my Voucher Getting quest. lol
The Rising of the Delta is the best expansion ever, and people love it to death because it is a good day to die in the endless struggle for supremacy of your own conviction. (A spin off of the Delta Rising is the best expansion ever and all the players love it.)

The event looks interesting. Thank you.

A torpedo or mine prize option would be nice as well.

I can haz playable version? Pweeze?
Unless the Devs get very creative, I can't see using a ship like that in most battles ( dropping the fuel pods as mines for example ).

That said, I bet it becomes an Admialty Card soon.

private ques is your answer... i personally am hoping the KM blows up in 30 secs from the start so I can start my next toon. Once done then I'd try "for reals"

In the description of the gear it states "Account Bound on Pickup"... so, while it's not true account unlock, it can still be shifted between toons on account

That Ferasan T6 isn't just the first tier 6 for that race, it's the first official ship for that race at all in STO and you could easily be the first look into the asthetics of that race since TAS (the feresans come from TAS but the name was changed to avoid possible legal issues as said episode was orginally a cross-over with Larry Niven's known space franchice)

So just as a heads up, it seems like right now you can't reclaim the items on other characters when you get it on one, we're fixing that.

And yes, the beams are account bound while the canons are character bound, which is also being fixed. (And won't matter once we fix the reclaimable thing anyway. :) )

You know, for a ship that has lost all power, the Kobayashi Maru sure seems to love to fly where it shouldn't. XD

Now to begin a plan that no cadet in the history of Starfleet has ever tried before! It'll surely beat the simulation.

      *swivels captain's chair*

Helm, set a collision course to the Kobayashi Maru!

Ah, approach #205. It's rare for people to do this on the first attempt.

Really!?! A freakin' Doomday Machine! What did this crew do to aggro every alien race in the galaxy! :D

      Oh let's see...

      1) Destroyed three Birds of Prey and killed their crew to a man, even though they told you they were here to take out an Undine and were right, and didn't apologize to them afterwards.

      2) Stole a KDF ship and tried to keep it.

      3) Killed countless Klingon crews in battle.

      4) Did a whole lot of "shoot first, ask questions later" situations.

      5) Declared martial law on a planet and aggravated the Orion Syndicate.

And that's just in the first story arc.

If you go back and look at everything the player character does, yes it's for the greater good, but they are a real douchenozzle about it.
Space Barbie Extraordinaire. Got a question about Space Barbie? Just ask.

      Things I want in STO:

      1) More character customization options such as more clothing options, letting the toon complexion affect the entire body, not just the head. Also a true RGB color picker applied to all costume and appearance options, which would allow for true appearance customization and homogenous colors instead of "this same exact color looks vastly different on two different pieces."
      2) Bridge customization, not bridge packs. Let us pick a general layout and adjust the color palette, console appearance, and chair types, as well as more ready room layout options.
      3) Customizable ground weapons, i.e. The aesthetic look of phaser dual pistols but they shoot antiproton bolts. For obvious reasons this would only apply to standard ground weapons.
      4) For the love of Q please revamp Plasma Ground Weapons. They look like demented Supersoakers right now.
      5) True Vanity Impulse and Deflector effects similar to Vanity Shields.
      6) A greater payout for hitting T6 Reputations. Currently it takes more time and resources to get from T5 to T6 than it does to get from nothing to T5. Make that grind really pay out at the end.
      7) Mirrorverse Refugee event similar to AoY/Delta/Gamma, complete with new Mirrorverse recruits for all factions.
      8) Independent Faction, because yo ho yo ho a pirate's life for me!

Are we supposed to be able to get Marks if you do this more that once per day?

I'm asking because I went through it a 2nd time and didn't get any Marks.
