2017, "since" last year and this bug still not fixed yet? (Ok, I guess this phrase has been fixed, since it seems to be the focus)
Can you guys "please" fix the saucer separation, the bug happens in combat, on the Odyssey operations, Dreadnought Cruiser T5, Yamato, Andromeda pretty much any ship using chevron separation. In docking space it works ok, in combat the saucer disconnect but you can never get it to reconnect unless you leave the combat space or remove the separation console, it does make the reconnect sounds and animation but the saucer itself never reconnect.
I do not want to sound like a douche but we paid big bucks for this ships, for it not to work properly, I love the game but it gets difficult/kills the incentive to invest in the game when you buy stuff that doesn't work...
Although I do not try to discredit your bug report, "over a year" cannot apply. The game started on PS4 in September 2016. Maybe not the correct subforum?
Slow down and take a few deep breaths dude. Believe me I get it, I own those ships myself and it sucks that they were messed up for us on PC when that was going around. The consoles have only had access to STO for about 7-8 months so me thinks your timeline is a bit off. With that in mind, do you have any type of screenshots or brief video clip demonstrating the issue? It's simple enough to test but at the same time having something to link to for my report is always good. This should have been patched to the best of my knowledge so they will want to know about this if it's still going on.

I had this problem since last year, so yeah. I've done some research on the problem myself to try to find a solution, and I saw I'm not the only one, just Google it. Reddit has also has plenty of people complaining about the same thing, and some say that the Devs only check Reddit forums, figures. The thing is, I'm having this particular problem with my ships ever since I bought them, so for people to come here and instead of trying to help just try to belittle me, makes you look bias towards the devs. I appreciate you guys posting, but if you can't offer any help, then just keep your comments to yourself, I know other people are having the same problems, try to discredit it only makes the problem persist and so make people get tired of it and move on to other games, it would be a shame...I hope I didn't sound rude, but I do not like the type of attitude some gamers have towards each other.

I asked you to slow down and take a few deep breaths because going off and such won't help anything. Simply telling them to "fix it" doesn't help nor does stating they have to fix it because you paid money for it either. They don't like things being busted anymore than you or I do. Part of what I do is write reports for the devs so they can replicate issues and get them fixed for everyone in the game. Also whoever told you the devs only check the reddit forums lied to you. They may not always post but they do indeed read the forums. They don't have the time to reply to every single person in every single thread, but they can make their presence known if they need to.
I made the comment regarding your timeline of events because the timeline of events you're giving doesn't make sense. You're telling me that you've owned these ships for over a year and have been playing on PS4 for over a year, yet that's not possible as the game itself has not even been on console for a year yet. So unless you misspoke or meant to post this in the PC forum, then what you're telling me for a timeline is impossible. When someone appears to be telling me they've been playing a game on console for over a year when the game itself has only been on console for 7-8 months, then I can only assume they misspoke, they posted in the wrong forum, or it's a hoax. Bearing that in mind hopefully you can understand my confusion. This brings me to my question, are you sure you didn't mean to post this in the PC forum, and are you actually playing this on the PS4? I say that not to belittle or try to discredit, but to try to get to the bottom of this.
I asked you if you have screenshots and/or video of this going on because this was supposed to have been fixed a couple of patches ago now. If it's still going on then having a screenshot and/or video of this going on in a current patch lets them know the fix didn't take, or a new version of the issue has cropped up. Screenshots and video also may reveal information upon review that was not noticed at the time of the shot or the video being taken. I could try to hunt up an old clip from before but that wouldn't exactly help or be relevant to it happening now. If other folks are having the issue, then tell them to come post on the forums here as that's why these bug forums exist to start with. If they have video and/or screenshots then tell them to post those as well. The more folks that report things the better. having those screenshots and/or videos just gives me that much more stuff to include in the report. I also ask if you have screenshots or video because that saves alot of time as well in testing on my end. If you don't have either screenshots or video then that's cool as it's a simple test. However I have to ask questions to get to the bottom of things. It's not to belittle, but to try to pin the issue.

I have edited this post, because I'm trying to be patient and still trying to keep this objective and civil, but please don't change my words, read my original post again, I clearly say: Can you guys "Please" fix the bug, looking past the problems being reported to find things to irritate people doesn't help.
Ever since I bought the ships I've been having this problem, I guess I didn't put it right but it is still a problem, it's still since I bought the ships when they became available, and since it was last year so that still makes it a long time. All the devs or you need to do is try using the ships I listed in combat and that's it, they'll see what's happening because it happens every single time, you don't need to create a special circumstance to make it happen, in combat the ship separate but you can never get the saucer back, it does make the sound and the visual effects but without the saucer reconnecting (and it's not because of the saucer getting destroyed either in case you wandering), the only way I found to get the saucer back is by removing the saucer separation console or leaving the combat space. I don't have a video but I remember seeing a video of someone posting this on YouTube, like I said, it's not difficult to spot the problem, all you have to do is try using the ships in combat, happens with all saucer separation ships I listed above on previous post
Hello! As far as we know, the general issue with saucer separation is fixed. If others are seeing the same behavior, there may be another bug. So if anyone else is seeing this, please respond here.
For alex475: There's one potential reason you might be seeing this, and it has to do with having tons of abilities active at the same time. Do you have a lot of powers on auto-execute? I'd ask that you try turning a few of them off, then attempting to re-connect your saucer in combat again. If that doesn't work, please submit a customer service request ("Support" at the top of this page) so someone can look at your character specifically.
Thanks! And I'm sorry you're having saucer problems, I understand it can be frustrating

I'll disable all auto execute abilities and try it out to see if it works, but I think the problem might be something else. I have noticed that when you activate the saucer separation, it does the sound and separation animation as it's supposed to, but then I noticed that a second sound plays again and it might be difficult to spot because it plays right after the separation, I think it's the sound of the ship reconnecting on it's own but without actually reconnecting saucer back. I've been trying to figure it out for a while, to me it seems that the ship is reconnecting on it's own but the saucer gets lost from the ship like it doesn't detect it or something. Anyway I'll try your suggestion, thanks for replying to bad I don't have much specific information that could help.
The same thing happens on PS4 with the Chimera after putting it in Tactical Mode. You cannot take it out of Tactical Mode until you depart the system, and then it's automatically back in Regenerative Mode. There isn't even an option of the radial menu to switch it. Tactical Mode is still there, but it just acts like you're trying to enter Tactical again. I got my first Saucer Seperation ship last night, and can confirm the saucer will not re-attach until I depart the system. Same situation.
Just an update, I haven't had much time to play until today, but I did try turning auto execute off on everything, still the same problem, you can separate the saucer in combat, but you can never get it back unless leaving combat space or removing the separation console. I was really hoping it would work, the main reason I wanted this was to have the maneuverability of Escorts on Cruisers which I like it better. I hope you guys figure it out what's happening
Hey, I don't want to sound annoying but the saucer separation bug is still there after the latest updates, can you guys please look into this, "please" (no sarcasm or anything, I'm really asking please".
The separation works fine if not in combat, but in combat something happens and you can clearly hear the sound of the saucer reconnecting right after activating the disconnection, but the saucer itself never really reconnect, "and once you do" try to reconnect it keeps playing the sound effects but the saucer never reconnect. I have tried absolutely everything from turning all auto execute off to removing everything but the separation and it still happens every single time, not once in a while but every single time, it is clearly a bug, so if you guys can look into this it would be extremely appreciated, thanks in advance. I would like to point out that I really like the game, and space combat is somewhat relaxing, quite fun
