[Kinda solved] Stuck at patching, request support

Hello,
I'm hoping someone from support will read this.
For the past 2 months, whenever I try to launch the game on my desktop PC, I'm stuck at the pre-launch patching. I rarely get over 3% and even that takes long. My internet connection - apart from STO - is perfectly fine. I can even patch and play STO on my laptop via the same connection!
I did that tracert-thingy and it gave me this.

Nothing happened.
Support isn't even available... They must have crashed the game bigtime.
It seems to be an issue with the realtime protection of Windows Defender and/or any other protection software running on your computer indeed.
I disabled my normal protectionware and made sure that the Windows Defender realtime protection is disabled too.
I'm now patching at a normal, steady rate. No stops, no hiccups whatsoever.
While I'm happy that the game is patching, I'm absolutely appalled that the launcher/updater can't cooperate with Windows Defender! I'm still deciding whether I think it's hilariously bad or simply outrageous tbh.
