Star Trek Bridge Crew, have you seen this game?

I was checking out a new Star Trek Game called Star Trek Bridge Crew, and it looks very cool. It's setup using VR tech, and you interact with your control at your station, while other people are on the bridge with you.

What I understand you ccan crew different ships. The trailer I picked is the old enterprise. Have a look and tell me what you think.

Well, it's not the sort of game you can easily pick up. that 4-man setup in the video is as expensive as several home consoles.

From what I've seen, the campaign is barely 2 hours long, there isn't much choice to the approach (flee or fight), only 2 bridges (TOS and Kelvin Timeline) and that's it. Reviews are enthusiastic the first hours, but those who played a few more hours think that's only the first hours before there is nothing else to do for a $50 VR demo.

I probably will not venture into the world of VR yet, but a co-worker of mine did. He played the Star Wars Battlefield or whatever X-Wing Mission on his Play Station. It lasted only 15 minutes or so he said, but that were the best 15 game minutes of his life, and if he had bought the VR gear only for these 15 minutes, it would have been worth it.

So an hour or two might not feel like much, but it might be a pretty awesome time anyway. It is, for the foreseeable future, the closest we will ever get to the actual experience of being an officer aboard a (Star Trek) starship.
