All Work and No Launch

in Star Trek Online General Discussion
Will someone please explain how I could be the only one running around collecting parts, and when it comes launch time with all my parts purple my rocket blows up and those who stood around doing nothing, have their rockets fly off into the distance?

    How yous can explode: it can happen. Randomness (whether intended or not) makes the best rockets explode at start. Rarely, but it does.

    Haven't seen AFK rockets go higher than a nominal value of 4 or 17 meters though. That'd be a bug methinks.

    Had another try and rocket flies off,yet the distance meter stays at 0. This Re enactment needs some work.

    Not lag. Sometimes I don't get the interaction to my bench when collecting finishes. If you don't improve your rocket during that time, it does explode.

    I've seen people ignore their rockets when they catch fire during the gathering process You have to put those fires out. If you don't, it will result in poor performance. Even an explosion. I haven't seen AFKer rockets fly off in the distance though.
    When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.

    I do all of that stuff and the rng gods have not been good to me in the fifteen runs of this event I have done. Yesterday I had an all purple rocket go 4 feet while the afker went 27 feet. I personally have not seen an afk rocket go less than 19 feet. My fed engineer built two rockets yesterday. A player did not beam in for one of the workbenches so my name appeared beside two benches. The fake rocket was built the same as my primary rocket. My primary rocket flew 168 feet and the fake rocket flew 19 feet. Just a couple of my weird observations in this event. My experience also includes multiple workbench fires and spider attacks in the same instance. Almost makes me want to afk my last five runs because the rng gods have been so nasty to me. :)

    I noticed my backpack was missing when it happened
