Artisanal System?

What on Earth is the art-is-anal system? Is it supposed to be a way too late April fools day thing? Hate to break it to you but you're almost 24 hours late!!! Pranks are supposed to finish at lunchtime 1st April, and it's almost lunchtime 2nd April now. Yes I realise it depends on your timezone but with the exception of Hawaii the jokes should be done.

I hope they will leave it in just for the fun of it (of course with the option to deactivate it).

*checks the US West Coast time at this instant* 1:30pm, April 1st.

Yeah, nope, you're incorrect, there is no such official rule for April Fools prank.

It's ok, then, since it was posted April 1 at 9am PDT. So it meets your arbitrary standard.

There is one server. That applies to all players around the globe. Events do not occur at specific times based on the time zone of a specific player.

If this offends you then you can always rage quit.

I get that events are defined by server time but most of the time the reliance on PST is merely confusing. In this case it's idiotic - an April Fools Day event after the fact. Okay to be fair the content didn't amuse me in the slightest either and I switched it off as soon as I realised what was up.

Is it worthwhile noting that no other events in STO are date critical? Holidays like Christmas don't exist in it and while there is a 'Halloween' event it's not restricted to Halloween (whenever that is) and given most countries don't do Halloween the specific date is kinda irrelevant.

    Honestly? I mean: honestly?

First, I never heard of a certain rule when pranks should be finished. In my region it's usually not before the 2nd - let the 1st run its course. And if you don't appreciate the joke, ignore it and turn it off.

He could be AUS/NZL or one of the Pacific states, that may barely mean April 2nd noon when he posted.

And I am not from the UK, so UK customs about April Fools don't apply here. It's a big world, and different places may have different customs.

Oi! PST/PDT is used because that's where Cryptic's offices are located. And Halloween is October 31.

Amercians tend to follow our own rules and traditions. As others have said though, if you don't like it, don't participate in it.
