Will next years anniversary vouchers be able to be used to complete this years event?

I missed out on last day and getting 400 from echoes of light, arranged to spend day playing sto on march 17th and the extension on xbox did not happen, so could not do it. They are giving 40 but not enough to cover the 400 from mission. Same with 2 profiles.
With winter event I completed it on 1 profile then created another and just missed out on 40, then got the rest from store using lobi crystals and 20 master keys.
To complete 2017 from cryptics error of last day, I would need to buy £216 worth of master keys, but if they did not mess up and kept event running until 5pm on mar 17th I would not have had to buy any master keys at all this time.
i did not leave event to last minute, I just scheduled it in around family and other things, if it was clearly ending on march 16th would have fitted in another day, but trusted cryptic, especially as was outlined in patch notes. On march 12th I spotted I had 6 left to do, thought I had done more, but worked out there was enough time, with it ending on march 17th. If I had 7 more to do or it was ending on march 16th I would not have bothered doing them, so not happy with the game atm.
Tried support to see if they would grant the extra to compensate, but would not budge, and not very friendly, obviously they want people spending £100s on extra master keys to make up for their mistake.
If can get them next year will do that than pay £216, but will still need to waste time doing more when I did not have to. Hopefully considering they forgot they extended it, they should not change the vouchers. If they do, I think I will give up this game for good.
What you can no longer do is save this year's vouchers for future year's projects.
They work backward (if slotted) not forward (no matter what). This stopped the pre-earning that lots of us did.
They stopped the pre-earning because they don't want people to spend less time on the event. They want people to log in and do the event for the full time, not just so they can finish quickly and claim the new ship.
That reasoning makes no sense to me as is. It's 40 vouchers per run (per day) regardless so you on a per voucher basis you'll log in just as many times. Better to stick with exclusivity reasoning - the year nnnn reward requires you to log on during year nnnn.
This is no way is having us avoid the content, as we still have to do a heck of a lot of dailies to get the ship. It's just that we're not running the daily for a whopping 3 days. That's not avoiding the content, but rather making it a slightly less migraine-inducing experience.
