I just met a fellow player in a queue today who showed quite a bit of interest in the Galaxy one of my characters is in. So this ship definitely has admirers and fans, if you are on PC (can't speak for consoles) get it - it may help to see some more actual faction ships to be found in queues which consist largely of 31st century ships or lockbox ships these days

A normie goes "Oh, what's this?"
An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"
A werewolf goes "Awoo, what's this?"
"It's nothing personal, I just don't feel like I've gotten to know a person until I've sniffed their crotch." "We said 'no' to Mr. Curiosity. We're not home. Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"

Space Barbie Extraordinaire. Got a question about Space Barbie? Just ask.
Things I want in STO:
1) More character customization options such as more clothing options, letting the toon complexion affect the entire body, not just the head. Also a true RGB color picker applied to all costume and appearance options, which would allow for true appearance customization and homogenous colors instead of "this same exact color looks vastly different on two different pieces."
2) Bridge customization, not bridge packs. Let us pick a general layout and adjust the color palette, console appearance, and chair types, as well as more ready room layout options.
3) Customizable ground weapons, i.e. The aesthetic look of phaser dual pistols but they shoot antiproton bolts. For obvious reasons this would only apply to standard ground weapons.
4) For the love of Q please revamp Plasma Ground Weapons. They look like demented Supersoakers right now.
5) True Vanity Impulse and Deflector effects similar to Vanity Shields.
6) A greater payout for hitting T6 Reputations. Currently it takes more time and resources to get from T5 to T6 than it does to get from nothing to T5. Make that grind really pay out at the end.
7) Mirrorverse Refugee event similar to AoY/Delta/Gamma, complete with new Mirrorverse recruits for all factions.
8) Independent Faction, because yo ho yo ho a pirate's life for me!
While I whole-heartedly agree with a promotion like this (it is a nice tie-in, as Cryptic have managed previously, e.g. Enterprise pack on discount with the announcement of a new show, etc), would it not promote additional play and use of other factions if it were the Andromeda and it's factional equivalents up for the discount?
What everyone buying Zen are really saying while all these bugs are still floating freely:

I have to admit, I was thinking the same thing...
Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.
becareful, if you buy this 1 ship at 50% off... you will lock yourself out of buying the 3 ship faction bundle.
3 ship bundle is normally 6,000.
if you buy this ship at 50% off... that's 1,500 but then you are locked into buying the remaining 2 ships at 3k each. even with a ship sale... total price would be 6,300 vs 4,800. unless you dont ever plan on buying the KDF and Rom versions...
This is a nice nod to fellow game devs over at Bioware. I remember something similar when the Star Wars MMO launched we got glowing lightsaber-esque bat'leths during the first winter event from a yoda-like alien.
Zinc: The universe of Star Trek Online is shaped and changed by the actions of the players...expect to see new planets and races discovered that were unknown the last time you logged in."
I'm not complaining really but just think it would make sense for the 3pk to have a relate discount, just to reflect the reduced cost of the Andromeda.
I would like the other 2 just fine, have 3 fed, 7 KDF, and 3 Romulans, so play all factions. Wouldn't be a bad trait to have at disposal, but not going whole shebang for the pack. Not sure I would get the 3pk, I mean there have been sales on past I passed on anyways.
The DD is a beautiful ship, could certainly find a home for her. The Negh'tev.... honestly beyond the trait I'd rather be in my T5u Kamarag, T5u Vor'cha, or my Kurak, Mat'Ha, Kor, Gorn MMSV, Kolasi, one of the 3 KDF CBCs, or purchase the Hormones or Qa'tel.
3pks are buy 2, get 1 free basically, so if I'm not a fan 1 of the 3 I still think it is a good deal.
That said, I do use the Yamato, and it can use the Andromeda Console, so I will be taking this deal without a second thought tonight.
Again not complaining, just making and observation and yammering like an idiot.
Thanks for the Advanced Light Cruiser, Allied Escort Bundles, Jem-Hadar Light Battlecruiser, and Mek'leth

The Andromeda class, of course, if named after a distant galaxy, and you can assume control of this powerful ship to find your path in Star Trek Online. And whether you’re a Commander or a Captain, you should be careful. This might be your favorite ship in the galaxy.
I already have the ship, thanks to the generous free promotion they did awhile back for this ship, but what I like even more is this 24 hour sale concept.
They should start rotating this sale tactic around to different ships &/or even ship packs from time to time.
Allow the opportunity for all factions' ships & this would deliver a good micro-sale potential on a limited scale.

Let me point out that as far as galaxies go, Andromeda is actually quite close, not "distant". So much so it's actually visible to the naked eye. It's distant in the sense that space is really big, but also in that same sense, compared to other things, it's our next door neighbor. In fact, it's so close and headed our way, eventually it will merge with ours.

Personally I find this hilarious, and came here specifically to say that.
Peace out, playing Andromeda for a bit.

At least, I would if the separation pets were working... *hint hint*
