If you are looking to get a Lobi Ship like the Kelvin Timeline Intel Dreadnought Cruiser, then you are likely better off simply purchasing the ship from the Exchange.
I think that ships costs around 280 million EC on the Exchange. Master Keys generally sell for around 5.6 million EC. That means you need to sell 50 Master Keys to raise the funds to purchase the ship.
On the other hand T6 Lobi Ships costs 900 Lobi Crystals to purchase. Assuming you are lucky and can average 6 Crystals for every lock box you open, you will need to open 150 lock boxes. That means you will need 150 Master Key which is 3x more expensive then simply purchasing the ship from the Exchange. If you only get 4 Lobi Crystals from every box, then you will need 225 Master Keys.
You don't farm Lobi. You "farm" dil. Convert to Zen. Buy promo packs [200 zen when you buy in a 4 pack and wait for the sale that typically occurs when the new promos come out] (you could buy keys but you end up getting less EC/dil that route). Sell for EC. Then either buy the ship outright or keys and open lockboxes. 1 promo pack = 25m EC unless you're one of the many who are so desperate for EC they sell at prices like 18m. 2 keys = 225 zen (assumeing you buy 10 packs when not on sale) which only nets you 11.2m. Patience and a plan is the key to becoming space rich in this game.
