I'm incredulous that Cryptic would choose these ships with several iconic canon ships, and not just Klingon ships, still missing from the T6 lineup. Oh well...we press on. Can only hope the missing ships will come in time.
Statistically, the ships are fine but for one thing.
Turn Rate and Inertia ratings are abysmal. However these ships break a few conventions.
1. The first 2-hangar Carriers with 8 weapon slots, even Tac oriented Carriers like the JHDC are 7 weapons at best, most Carriers are 6.
2. The first 2-hangar Carriers with Cruiser Commands.
3. The first KDF hangar units with BFAW capability and loaded with beam weapons.
4. Lance capability.
5. Molecular Desconstruction capability, a feature on a few ships like the C-Store, cross-faction 31st cent. Temporal ships.
These are feature packed Carriers. The price you pay other than monetary, is terrible handling. Consider these comparisons to the T5 & T6 Bortasqu' which I do not regard well in terms of how they fly.
In general, the T6 Temporal Hvy Dread-Carrier-Thingies will handle worse than even the T5 Bortasqu', which was an absolute pig. Beware DHC / DC users because shifting your aim will be a nuisance. This is a straight Beamboat or if you're nuts, a Turret / Single Cannons+Turret Boat.

You are upset the Vor'cha or Vo'quv is not in a promo pack? I know a few players that are upset the Temporal D7 was in a promo pack instead of the Z-Store.
If they have to have a promo ship, this seems like as good a candidate as any.

Faction Ships going into Promo Packs, even Lobi Store, is a move I dislike. I thought the idea of BOFF abilities going into Lockboxes was bad enough, but FACTION SHIPS in Promo Packs? That never sat well with me.

For KDF at least the fact that the TOS ship was in a promo pack should be a non issue; unlike other factions we can get the iconic design as a (mediocre but perfectly usable) T5U via the Fleet system, and most of the complaints seem to be that there's not a comparable option for other factions.
The big problem I've got with the 26C Dreads is that they're a bit meh for such huge, theoretically advanced ships. Arguably the turn rate is no more of an issue than for the Vo'quv, and that's a ship many players have made work in the past. This is a beamspam / pet support ship, not an offensive battlecruiser.
BUT.... BOff layout is mediocre (I'm certainly struggling to find a hypothetical comfort point) and it feels underpowered for such a gargantuan vessel. I mean, it sounds odd but I tend to run old / small ships for that reason; if they get blown up it's not jarring. The obvious comparator is the D7; when that appeared, it was obviously an absolute murder machine wrapped in iconic stylings, and I don't regret any of the effort spent getting one. I'm after an "ultimate" battlecruiser for my Engi, but I'm not getting that vibe off this ship. And that's disappointing.
The sole existence of these ships is pretty idiotic to me, but in relation to STO - that wouldn't be the first thing...
The Klingon one still is the best looking one of the bunch......Enterprise-J.....what a joke

A lot of guys don't like the handling of these new ships. I can understand why.
But I see them in a different light. I see 2-hangar bay slots, to me that ship is a Carrier first and foremost. Almost all 2-hangar carriers in the game are pigs (sorry angrytarg). Vo'Quv, JHDC, Atrox, Jupiter, Recluse, etc.
The handling isn't an issue for these new ships because they pack 8 weapons, the first of any 2-hangar carrier in the game, and they launch frigates with beam arrays that also use BFAW. These ships don't need to be doing slides, sharp turns, etc. But if you demand DHC/DC that requires lots of maneuvering, these ships will fail you spectacularly.

I would like to see them give us the option to use the BoP frigate pets as well as the new ones.... I mean this ship is big enough lol. As for turn rate, I fully expected it to be like a pig on a frozen pond so no supprise there, Overall i'm satisfied.
Had a good look at one over Qo'nos last night. Interestingly the Durgath is substantially smaller than its Fed and Rom counterparts... which means while imposing, it's not stupid. Nor is is quite as radically different to its predecessors - Klingon design conservatism I guess - which means that visually it's a nice Klingon star destroyer.
The stats still feel a bit underpowered for such a huge ship, though. Cryptic have pushed the envelope with two hangars and a built-in special ability (when did we last see one of those?) but nothing is entirely without precedent.
The Vengeance is far more potent than any of the heavy dreads.
You can get the "Target Rich Environment" trait from the Vengeance on the Exchange for 160mil EC. Probably a better investment than a Durgath.
The funny thing is the Feds already had a "Vengeance" of the same power. It was also a C-Store ship and thus a faction account unlock and not a "one character, one buy" deal.
It's the Eclipse. And she flew better, too.
Feds don't even know what they got in their own arsenal.

The turn rate is the only thing the Eclipse has over the Vengeance. The trait on the Eclipse is "meh", the console is terrible. 4/4 vs 5/3 (which is better for dual beams). With a [Turn] console, the Vengeance performs just fine.
Two players I asked who had both ships said the Vengeance outperforms the Eclipse in every way with just a minimal amount of effort.
seems drastically unlikely that that's going to happen. It's far more likely that they'll release BoPs for the event ships than update the Vo'quv. The fact that the Jupe released without a KDF counterpart is both how and why. When you're talking about updating any of hte 'classic' KDF designs, you run up against the problem that they're KDF Ships in Starfleet Tactical Online.
Well, no-one expected a 3-pack of Gorn T6 multi-mission sci ships either. I'm not going to hold my breath but I wouldn't rule it out either, especially if they can get away with a minor rework of an existing asset.
I have a lot of fun with it. It's actually a decent looking ship IMO, too. I love the gameplay of the Pilot Raptors or the D4X, but I don't really like their design. (WHich is why I am really hoping that one day we'll get a Tier 6 Vor'Cha, because I know the existing costumes are already adequate,so they cannot TRIBBLE that up).
It's a slow-turning beam cruiser, you shouldn't really bother with cannons on his thing. I put Pilot Spec on it and it is decent enough to circle your enemies, though I am basically sliding with it like in my ancient pre-T6 pre-Romulan Expansion Negh'Var days...
It's kinda a shame that it's the smallest of the Tier 6 temporal heavy dreadnoughts, but then, this also reduces any hassle the size would bring with it. Maneuvering it through the Breach is unproblematic (and with Pilot Spec, you also can make the "Yeehaaw" roll in the end and look extra awesome doing it.)
I agree that the console layout is not optimal, I really hate having to pick between Science and Tactical here. But it is Temporal, so you don't need to waste too much slots on all those engineering heals and focus on exotic damage magic.
The pets look cool, and that they use beams means they have good weapon time on target, though unfortunately I mostly did Breach so far and that isn't a good queue for pets, so I can't really say if they are good in the long run.
Be warned: It cannot use the Vo'Quv Bird of Prey pets like one might expect them to be (since the Romulan Kelvin Timeline Carrier can use Scimitard Drones.)
Oh, one more space barbie thing. It has a special ship skin, but it can use all the other regular Klingon skins (not seen any other Temporal/Mirror skins, though). And they don't seem bugged. Well, at least not in a major way. It seems when you enter the tailor, it tends to forget the skin you actually used, but at least it remembers pattern and colors...
Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.
I wasn't a fan of this ship initially, but I have to say, finally seeing it in Orbit I actually kind of like it.
That is my Ferasan's Jem HEC next to it for scale with the ship and the frigates. I would like to see the frigates made available/playable.
But as for the ship, I think she would be better if the nacelles were in a under-pylon position like on the d7/Kamarag, but still not terribly off from the Vor'cha nacelle style.
But as far as Promo Ships I would take a d7 over this any day, hell the d7 is my favorite TOS ship.
Thanks for the Advanced Light Cruiser, Allied Escort Bundles, Jem-Hadar Light Battlecruiser, and Mek'leth

So, anyone had a chance to run one of these under the new meta?
It strikes me that the eight-weapons-plus-two-frigate-hangars is now pretty much the most punch possible, so these beasts should start to live up to their enormous pricetags.

As for iconic ships, if they put a Vor'cha in a promo-pack I would have an aneurysm.
Lockbox would be ok, but R&D promo....

Absolutely agree
