Heya Guys returning player

I'm a returning player that left the game back in 2012. I'm looking to get back into the game. I use to be with 9th Fleet but I notice no one
online.

Was wonder do I continue playing my Level 51 Fed tactical captain or start a new character and start all over. Also looking for a good fleet that welcoming to return players that are lost and need have to relearn t he game.

    You could start an engineering or science captain to re-learn the game while also trying out the different skills. Any captain type can fly any ship, but especially on the ground the different skills add flavor.

    You could mix it up even more and make that captain Klingon or Romulan and play through their unique story episodes.

    @davefenestrator, I have a Level 50 science, 45 engineer Fed captains and 40 Klingon character. I love playing my escort character. I have started a new Science Character in Agent of yesterday faction just to play around, she only level 6

    @wisecasper are you guys very active and have team speak or voice comm and hopefully don't mind many newbie questions?

    I actually control three Beta fleets in an Armada, but I was going to invite you to the Alpha fleet as they have more people on this time of day. Active in fleet chat, run events and there is a voice comm but I forget which kind. They won't mind questions, nor do I if you write on the Armada channel as I bounce around between 5 of the armada fleets

    Do you recommend sticking to my old character continue playing my new science officers?

    It's quite grindy to get a lvl 51 to 60 if you already completed the episode missions before the cap increase so you might enjoy your new guys more. I'm an exchange trader so i daily play between 6 and 39 of my characters but less than half are combat ready.

    Honestly, I'm overwhelmed where to start. I've been playing the new romulan area but lost on the reputations system. I finished a couple instance there I got when I log in Mountain Pass, Underground Ruin and 2 others. I realized my ground gears is bad .

    Yes, jumping in at high level can be tough. New starts you get it gradually. Traits lvl 10, Duty officer system lvl 11, R&D lvl 15, Reputation system lvl 50, Admiralty lvl 52, Specialisation, lvl 60 I think

    Don't buy a Tier 5 ship, buy a Tier 6 ship instead.

    Do you prefer escorts to cruisers? If you're not sure any more, you might level up your AoY character more and try both types using the free level-up ships.

    I have the cross faction heavy escort carriers, they die easier than other ships I have but I like them. Main one i'm still flying is the KDF Qa'tel. They are Tier 6
