I'm surprised that the adjustments are already going live. Would have thought that it'd be tested more on tribble first.
Right now there is a ground combat event directly after it has been overhauled.

Well... you just said why. Theres a big ground combat event. What better way to test it large scale.

Patch servers appear to be running very very slow. This may need to be looked into if there is a problem. :)

Twice-weekly maintenance does seem to be more frequent lately, and I can't speak for every week, but I'm fairly certain this past Tuesday was a parent-company thing, not STO-specific, hence there being no patch that day as well as Champions and Neverwinter both being down for the same period. I'm not saying that's what happened, just the way it seems to me.

Plus, we already have a module that does what you're making Stealth do - it's called Ambush. Stealth was for staying cloaked and NOT attacking for as long as desired.
+1 this. I have to wait to see it in execution, but the way it reads, I have at least one character with two practically identical abilities now.

Please be aware that the UTC displayed is still incorrect. Down time begins at 15:00 not 14:00 as displayed on launcher.
They'll finally notice this and fix it right before the next time change, just in time for it to be wrong again, which it will stay until the fall, and so on. But I agree. There is no point in posting the UTC if it isn't going to be correct.

The time is correct for me, I live in the time zone UTC + 1, and so I count + one hour and I get the correct time

It wasn't for me. Was showing 14:00 UTC and went down at 15:00 UTC (specifically I live in UTC+1 and the server went down at 16:00 for me).
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class.
Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider.
    Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.

Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!

They have an internal issue ... UTC time will show as correct when they enter Daylight Saving Time in March.

I can't say when the server went down for me, as I work nights (GMT) and was in bed at the time. But the notification on the launcher seems to be assuming that UTC is PST+7, which it very much is not. It can be approximated as PDT+7. But California is not currently on Daylight Savings, and UTC NEVER is.

There is also a bug in space combat, the game buzzes then freezing for a second before resuming.

I am really getting annoyed by all the down time. Very unprofessional. I Wish they would hire some skilled employees.

Before I scream blue murder about any of the ability changes, i'll test them out 1st. The last skill revamp was to address out of whack powers and tidy the coding up, but we ended up with increased DPS rather than less. So although the tin might say 1 thing it may not be the same content in that tin. Put the pitch forks and torches down for now.

Hello rubber banding my old friend, time to bounce around the battlezone again, where are all my bug reports going?, out of love with this game I am falling, As Cryptic fail to acknowledge a problem exists, Shakes an angry fist, And from Support all I'm hearing are the sounds of silence.

Yea... I don't understand this either. I used to run several server farms and didn't have 5 minutes of downtime for any service for > 3 years. Even though we did maintenance and upgrades all the time, the actual service would stay up as we used multiple servers and locations.

Honestly it is like the world just ended for you all. Go do something else during the down time. At least they are attempting to fix things rather than letting the game go to pot and just sitting around watching their coffers grow right? So what is the time was extended. Would you rather they release a broken game and have it no playable thus taking the game down later on? To install something, update something etc it takes time and there are things that take more time than they alotted. Honestly people.
I can't think with you reading my signature, plus in the amount of time you spent reading my signature you could've killed at least one enemy.

patch downloading with like 0.2mb/s, this is going to take a while...
note: migrating mass storage to a 486 with a 56kbps modem propably isnt THE best idea.
...considering how you were mumbling something about an upgrade to the backend, i really start to wonder.

/edit: correction: the download stopped all togeather.
is it possible to just ONCE not f something up whenever you mess with the server?
foundry not working since the last maintainance insult, and now this.
    im really speechless...

Hey folks, the maintenance is complete, and we're looking into what's going on with the patch server. I'll let you know when I know more.
