I like leaving them in their default uniforms. But that's just me. My friend would like to be able to put them in her faction uniform, though.

It's just a matter of personal preference. I certainly won't complain if the devs make it so. I can still leave them in their default uniforms.
Now a LTS and loving it.

Yes, but only if their unique costume parts stay in their listing. Some Boffs have unique costume parts only THEY have and it seems random on which part is still selectable or gone forever when you edit the outfit.

For example, Satra's unique doc coat stays in her listing, but try editing the Kobali's outfit without having it unlocked.

Be nice to be able to do that. Tired of looking at the same old, same ol rare boffs.

Heck yes. The borg science office should be modifiable like the female engineering borg b/o. not sure why they make these decisions.

Yes, yes, and yes some more.

I would love to be able to redshirt out my Jem Hadar dude. And put different things on some of the other folks you get along the way, such as Nelen Exil, and the hierrachy dude you get somewhere in the Delta missions. The sci liberated borg boff that you can get from Omega rep could also greatly benefit from customization. I'm sure there are some others as well.

Though yes, the OP makes a great case for this. They would feel more like part of my crew if they could be customized.

In all likelihood those rare bridge officers for example the hierarchy guy don't actually have a body under their uniforms, and putting different uniforms on would at best result in invisible body parts like no arms on a uniform with short sleeves because the body textures don't exist for him.

So it wouldn't be as easy as checking a box to make other outfits available for those bridge officers, Cryptic would also have to make new body textures for those bridge officers for every uniform in the game.

Mr. Potato-head certainly has a body underneath. Mine was still customizeable at the time (they only changed that later on).

So much yes. I refuse most special boffs for most of my chars unless there is a really good reason for said Boff (i.e. Breen Exosuit for Survival; Borg Boff [the brutal looking Sci. one, not the lib. eng. boff] because uniforms would rip appart if he moves) to be out of uniform. And even these exception I do not use on all chars because the would bore me (beside the Breen being not that easily available for newer chars ;) ).

Borg Science Officer: I realize that he's one of the 2409 "Zombie Borg" type, but it would be great if they'd make him an AlienGen BOFF wearing the same Borg bodysuit as the LibBorg Engineering BOFF. That way, he could be AlienGen'd into a Human, Klingon, Romulan, etc. while also having the ability to be dressed in Faction uniforms.

Breen Tactical Officer: Granted, he's Breen, so wearing a FED/KDF/ROM uniform may be out of the question, given that he's basically stuck in his environmental unit. But there are several different types of Breen outfits used by the NPCs. Perhaps give us those options to choose from for the look of our own Breen BOFFs.

Hierarchy Science/Intelligence Officer: As previously stated, this BOFF was orginally customizable. I don't know what the reasoning was behind removing that option, but obviously it could be brought back.

Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer: I've always wished that obtaining the Jem'Hadar TAC BOFF or the Lobi Jem'Hadar Armor would unlock more Jem'Hadar AlienGen options in the Tailor. And it is a shame that I can't use the unlocked Jem'Hadar Lobi costume options on said Jem'Hadar TAC BOFF.

Kobali Engineering/Command BOFF: Already fully customizable, but it's a shame that the default Kobali uniform disappears for players/characters that weren't around/fortunate enough to obtain the one-time-only Kobali uniform reward. That needs to be fixed as a permanent reward.

Reman Science Officer: There's really no reason why he can't be fully customizable since we now have playable Remans in-game. Just give us that uniform and cape as a costume unlock reward, too. ;)

Voth Science Officer: As with the Jem'Hadar, I wish obtaining Nelen Exil awarded us Voth options for AlienGen use in the Tailor. Apparently, Nelen Exil is supposed to be the ONLY Voth to defect, which is presumbly the reason why he isn't customizable. But come on, we could at least be allowed to recolor his uniform. Seriously, though, customization is always better.

Photonic Tactical Officer: As with the Medical and Engineering Photonic Officers, there's no reason why this one cannot be made fully customizable as well. The default MACO/KHG Armor can be unlocked with the Omega Reputation, so "losing" it is only temporary. Just also give us the ability to color MACO armor ala the Facility 4028 Photonic Tactical Officers. ;)

The question posed was "would you like the option....", why vote no if you would opt not to change the clothes? Just so others can't? I don't get it.

I would suggest giving an extremely flexible alien customization system that certain players experienced as a bug or exploit to Photonic Officers. So if someone wants a Gorn with Vulcan ears, and a Caitian tail for their Photonic Officer, then they should be able to. The same freedoms should be available to Android Officers.

I support complete freedom for customization for boffs including letting them wear all "off duty" costumes.

I suspect there are cases where this would require extra work by the artists and I accept that it won't happen in those cases. But if it just requires them to turn off limits, then do it.

Borg science, Reman, Jem'hadar and the likes of it aren't customizable cause they're not BOFFs they are enemies unità/models adapted. They aren't supposed to be modified; it would take time with no great return so very unlikely to happen.

While The Doctor (of the Zimmerman type not the Who type) is customizable, Leeta is not.

All my Bridge Officers are very clean all the time just so they don't get BO of the Rare type. :)

Yes. It's stupid seeing my Romulan Survivor boff running around in rags while the rest of my boffs have matching uniforms.

Funny you should example the Hierarchy boff, as he WAS customizable when first released (and remains customizable for those of us who got him before he was nerfed). B)

I would say it differs: the Breen certainly needs his exosuit. The Jem'Hadar probably wouldn't wear anything else either (dunno how his Ketracel injector works, but that could surely be solved). The one-off Reman from the FE or Hierarchic Potato on the other hand...

I guess it is somewhat down to software limitation - don't know about any boff where you could change outfits but not appearance otherwise.

Now, if my Romulan captains only were able to get their allied guys (or sometimes even other Roms/Rems) into matching uniforms...
