Introduction: I am going to start a new thread each month that details the current active giveaways that are available for Star Trek Online, I will also put in here sales deals like for instance the Steam sales that crop up from time to time.

    Thanks for making this thread! I can't tell you how many other contests/giveaways/etc I learned of months after they ended.
    Sometimes I think I play STO just to have something to complain about on the forums.

    In reality though, the game is still just too new on console. Remember, stuff has to come out on PC first, then get ported to console. Also, I think due to Microsoft and Sony, giveaways outside of their systems are a little bit harder to do, because they want to maintain complete control over every little thing on their systems. I think Microsoft is worse about it than Sony, but would not be fair to XBox users to give Playstation users something they don't get. Just give it some time though. Once they get consoles closer to caught up, I am sure you will get plenty of rewards and the same stuff we do. They are just kinda busy trying to get content for console caught up at the moment, so can't get to porting over some of the extras yet.

    None of these points are valid! A games anniversary is not about the means by which a player actually plays the game. Someone could walk into a store today having never played STO, buy a copy for pc and then go home, boot it up and be able to participate in the event. Console players helped make 2016 a banner year for Cryptic, so yeah pointing out how recently they all started playing this game on Xbox One or PS4 ... because of "pc" first is not a good defense of a poorly thought out policy?

    You should be sure to mention that people need to be level 2 on thier alienware profile to claim it.

    Bs. Look at DE and Warframe. they manage to get out the same content PC has within a month and a half. And when it comes to Xbox getting what the PS4 doesn't... due to Destiny and their funny console exclusives Xbox DIDN'T get, I could not care less about them.

    As for "Busy trying to get content for console caught up"... We've been waiting for months, with NO communication, and apparently, no oversight, because having a event listed on the ingame calender for over a month and the day it begins calling that a bug ( and,funnily enough, still listing it as HAPPENING on the 2nd on the ingame menu!) tells me EXACTLY how much they are "trying"... they are NOT trying at all.

    the Alienware T'Varo is now down to just over 1600 keys left... only took me 36 hours to level up for the tier 2 prerequisite they have on the giveaway.

    I already had the level 2 on alienware's site for some reason, I made the account like over a year ago but never really did anything on it so I'm not sure why I was already on level 2.

    Was anyone able to get the Cat and the NX? When I go to the link, all I see is a giveaway for Neverwinter, and the graphics card for 80 000 points. Maybe it's a regional thing?

    The Cat and the NX are still there under the Rewards tab of the Raptr client.

    I can confirm the cat and light escort are still redeemable at this moment, despite the fact that it says "Codes expire on 12/31/2016". If you're not seeing them in the rewards then yes it's most likely a regional thing.
