Fleet Starbase interiors

I forgot how long it been since we had the Fleet Starbase... but doe anyone here feels it time for a Revamp? It boring, Old , Cold, Dark and unfriendly. Plus the Lighting 2.0 is really not working. So what ya think?

For what it is doing? Being a thematic place to pick up one or two items before heading out again. It is fine and looks pretty good. If it had the traffic that ESD or Qo'nos do, then I would say they need a fresh coat of paint as the layout is a bit mishmashed at least Fed side. Want a great interior. Visit K-13. Amenities, goodies and an atmosphere all its own.

Nor should they be. Their ships would look weird.

I still like the Klingon one very much. It aged rather well. The Federation fleet starbase on the other hand looks really dated. But it is functional and does what it's supposed to do. Their work would be better invested elsewhere.

Put a exchange on the starbase and you can change the color of the SB to pink for all I care.

ESD is worse then Drazana ever was.

Are you talking about the Origins bridge? I love that bridge.

I think he talking about the very first bridge sets we got since beta (aka season 1)

If Cryptic ever decides to do Player Housing, then the same technology could be used to customize the Starbase Interiors. Although, I would suggest it is limited to the Fleet Starbase and not the other Fleet Holdings. There are some racially themed Fleets and this would go a long way in helping them feel like home.

Swap the tribbles for cats, dogs, and the other creatures. Maybe leave a few tribbles around the bar lounge area.

Lightning 2.0 is horrible in the Fleet Starbase as is the layout.

But its not on my list of things to deal with. I'd rather have the ability to customize my Captain's quarters and Ready Rooms on my Ship's bridge.

Unless you're in a guild that uses it a lot for events and such, I really don't see the need, you spend even less time there than you do on your bridge

Well, I spend more time on the starbase than on the bridge. (Why should I go on the bridge during gameplay? OTOH, Starbase sells some stuff and has the CXP turn in, also one of two places to get the recruit doff missions). And I think the KDF is way better looking and has more style, although some places are maybe a tad too dark after L2.0.

Since it was a mission to begin with (TRIBBLE dil), maybe put in another one to remove? Or play tribbleball...

If they removed all the npcs walking around...
Increase the shadows and dimmed the lights...
Added walking echoes and ominous sounds...
Maybe a Twilight Zone type theme song in the background...
Then it would be perfect for what most people see when they go to Fleet Holdings.
