Can I get Lukari Marks from Temporal Agent Reward Boxes?

So everyone - including me - wants Lukari Marks, ofc.

Now, I still have some Choice Mark Boxes leftover from the Temporal Agent Event.
(e.g.: Temporal Agent Reward - Reputation Mark Choice)
Might they offer Lukari Marks?

I doesn't say so in the description text, but that was made a long time ago.

I could simply try it out, but if memory serves - as soon as I open the box, I am forced to make a choice.

    All you can do is open the box and see. If the mark awarded are from before this, then I wouldn't get my hopes up as even with the Q event at the academy, you don't get any Lukari marks. TOS didn't have anything to do with the Lukari, so it shouldn't offer those as an option.

    But yes, once you open the box, you have to choose.

    A lot of the PVE queues only offer certain marks as well, and only two that I know of offer the Lukari ones at all. Others might later on, but if any do atm, I've not seen them. Any time marks are offered, always check to see which marks are offered if possible.

    What I'm not following is why you're holding onto that box instead of just using it on the toon you got it with. :|

    "Typically", when they come out with a new rep and thus marks, you can only get them from the new queues etc they introduce... usually. Later on, like in maybe a month or so, they start to get added to other things.

    So maybe the Boxes will get the "Lukari option" in the future?
    How was it with the Delta Recruit Boxes? (Have used all up myself.)

    I have several Boxes on most of my toons ;)

    I got all Reps (sans Lukari) maxed on all of my toons and I think I also have all the Rep gear I like.
    Now, I know I could turn marks into Dil; but I kept them for exactly the reason stated above (I thought).

    If it helps the borg alerts give Lukari marks.

    hmm. I'm not sure. If I remember, I'll check some toons tomorrow that I can claim some of that stuff on. The Terran rep was after that event so if they're in there then I would assume Lukari will get added to both eventually.

    Allrighty, took me awhile to find a toon that still had stuff to claim, but the Delta recruit stuff does NOT have the Terran rep. So I guess we can assume neither of them will get the Lukari marks. Seems like more of an oversight on Cryptic's part though.

    The Delta REcruit stuff didn't give rewards for reputations that came later, and I suspect that the Temporal Agent rewards work the same.

    The idea behind the recruitment is that it's a way to catch up a bit to long-standing characters and players, and so it makes sense to me.

    I could swear this bug in the description hadn't been there before today's patch.
    11 options to choose from (Fleet marks + 10 Reps), just as it is today ... hmm ...
    Maybe they patched in the Lukari marks and just mislabeled it?

    I'm not making a fuzz about it because ME NEEDZ LUKARI MARKS NAOW!!!!1111 ;)
    We're just talking about 1000-mark-boxes (I think) with hardly any other use.

    P.S.: I get the spirit of the "recruit"-type events, but they have added current rep marks to other choice-boxes as well, i think?
    At least in the Summer and Winter Event.

    Yeah, new seasons always have a bunch of bugs for a couple weeks. Some of which never get fixed as well. So can't speak to that line showing up twice in the description. I actually got some Temporal mark boxes today as well (this was after the patch) and there were no Lukari marks as an option in them. Didn't look at the description though so can't confirm that double line item.

    The marks won't show up for the summer/winter event ones though until those events come back around and they put them in. Which they often forget to do and have to fix a few days/week into the event.

    "Lukari Marks have been added to Mark Choice reward packs."

    But the tooltip on my 1000 mark boxes hasn't changed (Temporal x2).
    I'm hesitant.

    Any new insight?

    Try it and see -- you can cancel out of opening it at the list of choices.

    What's there to hesitate? Either you can get lukemarks out of them or you can't. No use keeping them boxed up either way.

    Yeah, I tried myself (thanks to encouragement by davefenestrator!), but:

    PSA: still no Lukari marks in those boxes.

    Your're absolutely right. I could have sworn that wasn't the case and as soon as you opened the box, the 5min timer started.

    7 Alts with hardly other mark needs other than Lukari. And each one has a 1000-box.
    Would be pretty helpfull if at some time that shortcut would work for them.

    As was said upthread, you can get Lukari marks from Borg/Tholian RAs.
    Now a LTS and loving it.
    Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
    I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

    You can also get Lukari marks from the Sompek event.

    But I know, and this thread is not about how to get Lukari marks.
    I am grinding them on my main.
    And there is no rush for my Alts.

    This is about putting 1000-mark-boxes to use, if you got everthing but Lukari.

    If you want to put excess marks to use there's always converting them to dilithium, 'elite' marks, or fleet credits. Every once in a while I'll go through and cull the excess marks I get from events and make a few elites since I have more then enough ore/FCs and find it less frustrating to convert those excess marks than running the advanced queues.

    Open them, choose any type, then convert to dil.

    It's possible though not likely that the devs are still planning to fix the temporal boxes to include Lukari, so you might wait at least one more week. Or not, since most people have probably used up those boxes by now.

    I'd guess updating boxes that you can still earn was a much higher priority.

    Why would they "fix" old rewards so you'd get stuff you didn't earn?

    Cryptic's position on holding reward boxes to open later for something better has been made plenty clear with the bonus weekend nerfs.
