Star Trek Online has just reached its 7th Anniversary, and has now had a run equal to any of the Star Trek TV series! Here's a message from Exec Producer Stephen Ricossa.

    I want to care, but i can't. Tried to get in to get the freebies and can't. Came home from work early and got stuck doing a frikin 2GB update, and missed out on day 3 items. Now I remember why i left the game for almost 2 years!

    *So want to love this game again.

    Is the ship account locked or can I earn one for all my characters, there isn't a lot of time it looks like to earn it.

    Love the new FE tony todd is da man , his VA was flawless it felt real not forced like micheal dorns' worf VA , amazing VA work by Mr Todd :)

    You earn it on one character by doing the new episode once and Omega Molecule Stabilization for 15 days, then you can claim it on any character on your account, even ones you haven't created yet.

    It was February 2nd on the Holodeck calendar, but that was before they announced the release of Season 12 for today. When they did that, Tribble calendar was updated to have it on the 26th, but I guess they didn't bother with updating Holodeck calendar, too, since Tribble build was going to go to Holodeck that same day.
    This is an MMO, not a Star Trek episode simulator. That would make for a terrible game.

    gotta be level 10, which should be doable from level 0 in just a short time.

    Just one little problem, Q says we can buy 2017 Vouchers from the Lobi Store, but they are not in the Lobi or Event Stores. I think the devs forgot to add these!

    Is the ship equipment (deflector etc) that's a weekly mission reward an account unlock (or reclaimable from the dil store), or do I need to run the mission with my alts every week to get those?

    It's a per toon unlock. But they'll be around long after the episode goes from featured to a regular addition.

    Was anything on this update even tested? I only ask because I cannot complete the Daily Mission for the anniversary, considering I can't enter Wolf 359 which is required for completing said mission.

    Thanks! I ask because they used to have at least one item only available during the event (for seasons at least).

    considering its the same event they run every year, its possible they didn't and a glitch slipped through. sounds like you are getting the fed omega options instead of your factions.they will likely fix it as soon as they know about it. did you submit a bug report?

    Interesting choice by the company to have their seven year anniversary event limited to the pc crowd, as anyone entering a retail location today and purchasing this game to be played on a computer would seemingly be allowed to participate; but not the console players who've helped make 2016 a banner year for STO?

    wait a sec. You're performing maintenance during a time some of us use to get the daily rewards. WTF? So i miss out on Day Four? That's unfair.

    This is sadly what I expected from the contingent of fans who always go there, which is why my query is very soft in nature. You chose to miss that, and that is on you!

    The anniversary of the game has or should have nothing to do with the means by which a player participates; thus my suggestion that their choice to limit the celebration to pc is "interesting." If there is a perceived divide to be drawn by that choice, it is one solely created by Cryptic.

    [As an aside: They had no problems taking my money for a lifetime membership on console. One would think a commitment at that level might reasonably expect to participate in big events? I get the new content rolling out on pc first is a given, but the anniversary thing is a puzzler.]

    Same thing has happened to me! First I tried on the Tribble server to goto Drozana station for the new item claims, the console wasn't even lit up like in the video I watched on YT. Then I've tried going there multiple times on Holodeck. Same, still no special items!! The console isn't even lit up like you'd find for mail and the exchange!! Did everything identical to the YouTuber I follow in regards to STO, but it's almost as if that again I'm going to lose out on something that at least the peoples videos I watch are able to claim.
