Event Exlusivity, Sets and Console - Universal - Regenerative Integrity Field question.

Good day,
One of most recent annoucements [ https://www.arcgames.com/en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/9743063 ] made me quite concerned. To be more precise I'm quite interested in following statement:
"We want to maintain the exclusivity and collectability of the event ships from all of our seasonal Events each year, and in order to do that we will be retiring the existing items. "
This in turn would mean that Kobali Samsar is intended to be never available again in STO, despite many ships [and their classess] be available at later date.
Some of most notable example being Oddysey Star Cruiser, first available at 2nd Anniversary as event ship, later remade into Fleet Variation [Event->Fleet] and 3 zen-store exclusive 'advanced' or 'improved' variations [tactical, science and operations, in pack of 3 currently in zenstore]

I do understand the point of 'exclusive' ships [even though up to this point - most if not all ships landed in lobi-store, fleet store or zen-store (see oddysey)], I am though very concerned about availability of [Console - Universal - Regenerative Integrity Field] due to one specific reason.

There exists quite specific set of consoles, all are classified as 'universal' consoles, namely:
[Console - Universal - Regenerative Integrity Field] - Kobali Samsar Cruiser [Anniversary 2015 only].
[Console - Universal - Defense Platform] - Tactical focused command ship [3000 zen]
[Console - Universal - Tachyon Pulse Platform] - Science focused command ship [3000 zen]
[Console - Universal - Fleet Support Platform] - Operations [Engineering] Focused command ship[also 3000 zen]
[prices are without discount, 2000 each for faction package or 1333,(3) p.p. for all 3 factions package]

While details of set are mostly irrelevant [for 2 and 3 consoles in set, as they are readily, though not necesarily - cheaply, obtainable] 4 console set bonuses, or full set bonuses can be concerning if [Console - Universal - Regenerative Integrity Field] will never be available again. What are the bonuses?
+33% to all energy damage of ship
Improvement of all other command console active effects, namely:
Defense Platform : Create a second Defense Platform [+100% firepower]
Fleet Support Platform: The platform will now also heal ally hull for a moderate amount in addition to regenerating shields [fixing of shield-penetrating shots included]
Tachyon Pulse Platform: Increases the range of the Tachyon Pulse beams from 5km to 10km [double the range]

In the event of [Console - Universal - Regenerative Integrity Field] being unobtainable, all players [and characters] that did not exist at the 2015 event, or simply - did not bother with quest [either due to being uninterested in set at that time, uninterested in ship, or any other reason] will lose major part of their potential capabilities. Please mind you - we're talking about set where 3 out of 4 consoles are zen-based consoles, in turn making event 2015 [shortly after introduction of aforementioned command ships] crucial for players who intended to use these ships to their full capability, and spent [at least, that's including pack discount for single faction] 6000 zen points [or if you prefer, as per steam-exchange rate for zen] 54 EUR [in EU] exclusively for these 3 ships, in turn putting exclusive policy to question, due to making exclusive items part of zen-based set.

[TL DR below]
All in all I'd like to ask just a single question to whomever is decisive in this part:

Will [Console - Universal - Regenerative Integrity Field] be obtainable in any forseeable future [say, 2-3 years tops] in any method, with or without original requirement [Kobali Samsar Cruiser] ?
[Of course this question can be extended to any other zen/event sets currently available if any]

[if TL:DR] Why this question? see rest of post.
Best Regards,

That's a really good question - if it were not I'd consider it as PWE shooting their own leg... with a plasma canon (dual heavy cause single is too weak :P)

I wholeheartedly agree with this. Having the console from a "limited-time event" ship be included as part of a set that is primarily from C-Store ships was just an odd decision to begin with. Now, with the Samsar being retired, there will be no way to complete a console set for which 75% of the set is from the C-Store. That 4-piece bonus is also a fairly substantial one, I might add.

At this point, I'm just beyond frustrated with the whole "exclusivity and collectability" trend Cryptic is going down regarding event ships. First I was bummed I wouldn't be able to get the Risian ships from the Summer Event, then I found out I wouldn't be able to complete the Breen ship set from the Winter Event, and now it seems I'll never have the 4-piece console set on my Command Battlecruisers. I don't even really want the Samsar, I just want the console to be made available somehow so I can at least complete the set...

This is old news, they made this change to the Event Ship format before last summer's Risa event, it was announced well in advance, and they followed the same format for the winter event that ends tomorrow morning.

That aside, I would be ok with this console, and others from event ships, being added to either the zen store or the Lobi store. Simply as a way to allow newer players to complete sets, not that I think this is a good set to go after, but to each their own.
It may have been announced well in advance, but by the time they announced that this is what they were going to do, anybody that hadn't already had the project slotted from the previous year could do absolutely nothing about the warning.

For a somewhat extreme analogy, it was like taking someone skydiving for the first time and then reminding them to put their parachute on after they had already jumped out of the plane.

For new players who didn't join STO until after that event had passed, the warnings served no purpose other than to tell them that they could no longer get whatever ship(s) was being talked about. They had no event currency to take advantage of the buyback store, and no way to slot the project(s) to get one last shot at the ships.

And? I never got any of the stuff from before I joined the game, like the RMC or other pre-order rewards, lots of other things, I joined at F2P launch, don't see me complaining about it.
To be fair, you missed out on a lot less stuff than players joining now did. I'm talking like the difference between about a year's worth of things and four to five year's worth.

Also, these events ships were recurring rewards up until the first announcement for this before the Summer Event last year. You could get the Chel Grett, Plesh Brek, and Sarr Theln ships during the 2014 Winter Event. They only started making the one-year exclusive thing a reality this past year, which is why I and others are annoyed. There was really no precedent for these changes other than some vague warnings that never followed through. It really just seems that anybody who joined STO this past year picked a bad time to jump in, I guess.

Guys, I'd like to ask you to move this discussion to other thread; Please be advised the prolonged part of original post was to explain the background of question to people not familiar with topic beforehand [other readers] and not to take sides in discussion about politics of developers of STO and item exclusivity, especially in regards to console in question [that we still are waiting for official answer to]. Also as pointed before - annoucement of exclusivity was made AFTER end of Anniversary 2015 event, which parts are matter of current question, thus further giving in to uncertainty of fate of command ship sets.

I'd rather not see this thread dismissed and/or closed just to become another arguing thread about part items availability.
core of this thread will still stay the following question:

"Will [Console - Universal - Regenerative Integrity Field] be obtainable in any forseeable future [say, 2-3 years tops] in any method, with or without original requirement [Kobali Samsar Cruiser] ?
[Of course this question can be extended to any other zen/event sets currently available if any]"

and as I've said - all the buildup is to explain the reasons of question asked, not to request anything nor comment on anything, especially without official statement.

Breen Warp/Singularity Cores in the Winter Event Shop. Here though the other three pieces of the Space Set were/are obtainable from Breen Episodes. Those all can be used on other Ships.

We had the same problem with the Dyson Science Destroyer that had the Solanae Cores and Secondary Deflector. That Ship went into the Lobi Store. Those items can be used on other ships.

The Risian Ship's Consoles were only good on Risian Ships.

The Nandi Console is only good on the Lockbox D'Kora besides the Nandi.

Besides being part of a set with the Command Crusiers, the Samsar Console can be used on other ships.

I agree as long as you're talking about PC but for PS4 & Xbox as they never had a chance to get any of these ships and or consoles they should run them again. I'm looking at this as a fair solution as I have console sets that can never be completed. If they're not going to run them again then remove the part of the set that PS4 & Xbox users can never get.

I don't care what the header says, I am not now, nor have I ever been, nor will I ever be, an "ARC user".
