Sorry to hear some idiots are harassing you for the stupidest of reasons, I'm surprised theres no way to block players on playstation, on PC we'd simply /ignore such losers. is that function absent from the Playstation version of STO?

"He shall be my finest warrior, this generic man who was forced upon me.
Like a badass I shall make him look, and in the furnace of war I shall forge him.
he shall be of iron will and steely sinew.
In great armour I shall clad him and with the mightiest weapons he shall be armed.
He will be untouched by plague or disease; no sickness shall blight him.
He shall have such tactics, strategies and machines that no foe will best him in battle.
He is my answer to cryptic logic, he is the Defender of my Romulan Crew.
He is Tovan Khev... and he shall know no fear."

You certainly can mute players, it is under team settings. If you are being harassed you could always put in a support ticket.

Is there a limit to the number you can mute? I don't know. Maybe that is the problem though.

Good luck with your situation. :)

    Qapla'!

You can mute everybody. Provided you need not be quiet you can also do it the universal way where you leave game sound to main speakers and chat sound on headset then set the headset down. Or the quiet way of making your own chat room/channel PSN or XBL chat and staying in it yourself.

I had some petaQ, harass me with 10 blind invites, in a 2 minute period, to join their fleet. After the 10th time i wrote back in caps, "I DO NOT WANT TO JOIN YOUR FLEET, DO NOT ASK ME AGAIN!" Then I blocked that person and then I got 2 more invites from them. So the ignore system does not work.

You sadly can't directly SPECIFICALLY block people from invite you to fleet or friendlist
However you could, as other said, ignore them (can't see their text since) by /ignore @handle while handle is their account handle.

or have for example a settings in O->(team?->) privacy options
Some settings, are, for example, which make people unable to invite you to a fleet (all) or party (beside those in friend list or fleet) or a settings that makes you only getting whispers from fleet/friend list.
The last two settings mentioned are problematic though as sometimes you want to hear others or to be invited to a party or a fleet map. Your choice. Look at the settings there and decide what fits for you (or that specific character).

I would advice you just in case to be non visible on search/gateway, disable chat zone unless you need it for a specific purpose, (and if you also want, you may also be visible only to friend/fleet members, however the last option may bug some other option such as party invitations or whispers or seeing chat in channels so unless knowing how to force update those settings to what you like, I can't safely advice you to do that specific thing.)

I am sorry you were harassed like that.

Unless you deliberately provoke someone they will leave you alone soon enough. It almost sounds like some of you are trying to "TRIBBLE n Run" finding out you cant, and getting flack back.

It may just take time to register the ignore. I added a new person to my friend list on PSN and it took 30 minutes or more for them to show up on the in game friend list. Either way sorry to hear about your bad luck
