This has now happened three times in the last ten minutes. I switch characters and click select all mail then click delete and bam! crash to desktop. Is it just me? Cause last time it did this I verified the files and it didn't seem to help. Hopefully the next patch will address the issue. Anyone else having this issue?

I have not had this happen deleting mails individually on PC. If this is on PC it's probably tied to the select all + delete marked.

Are you overclocking the CPU or GPU? Is your GPU AMD or nVidia?
I have not had any of that happen, ever. My system is an i5-2500 at stock, GTX 980ti at stock, 8 GB RAM, Windows 7.
Crash to desktop, just as you described.
Very strange.
On the bright side, it did actually delete the emails and it didn't seem to damage any of the game files.. you just log back in and go on playing. Still, it's kinda weird. STO may have it's bugs, but I can't remember the last time the game has crashed on me, that never happens.
^^ Exact same here.

None of the above; I'm running Intel integrated graphics on a 3.5Ghz I3 DuoCore, stock standard. I'm only running the 32-bit version of Win 7 Pro, so my comp only gets to use about 3.5Gb of the 8Gb RAM I have installed, but that was never a problem before the AoY & updated graphics rollout, and I've got 40Mbps down/5Mbps up 'net hookup...

Hmm, does the PC have a PCI-E slot so you could add a used nvidia 750ti or a new 1050? intel's drivers aren't the best for gaming.
(I mention those cards since both use under 75 watts power and standard models do not need a power supply with a 6-pin connector, they get all of their power from the PCI-E slot.)
It's a game issue, not his PC.
True for deleting mail, but I was replying to this thread sidetrack:
... which sounds more like "nothing works"
Ah.. my apologies, I missed that.
I'm told the i3 CPU isn't great for gaming, either, but I was playing STO on a socket 478 Prescott processor for years before that with no issues. I knew my Intel graphics was only a temporary cost savings when I bought the CPU; I guess it's time to break out my wallet for something like an R9 pci-e card, though I'm pretty sure it won't fix the serious lag associated with the main social hubs in-game (ESD, !st City, DS9). And switching between fleet holdings is taking absurdly long, also resulting in crashes occasionally; it can take more than a full minute for each map change, with the splash screen returning even after my 'toon appears on the map. It's really time for Cryptic to update the way fleet maps are handled by the game engine; maybe the K-13 addition is now pushing the limits of the code for this function...
