Whale probe ship ability from The Voyage Home?

I was just in sol system outside the starbase, and I noticed a ship setting off an ability that had the visual of an expanding white disk aoe effect, with the sound of the whale probe from the 4th(?) movie. What could this be?

    There's a lot of abilities that cause that sort of effect in the game.

    Voth aceton field generator, Risan cruiser special console, Sutherland special console are just a few examples off the top of my head.

    Honestly can't remember what the probe in ST IV sounds like though.

    yes, but it sounds like a whale song produced by the alien probe in the movie

    I keep imaging Dory from Finding Nemo/Dory speaking "whale" after reading this thread.
