Why is cryptic or STO devs blocking the fun ?

In the early days you could send over items MK II items to new chars.... Like in TOS era or Fed era when playing the tutorial missions you could go to the bridge and get stuff from the account bank or in the FED tutorial you could open the account bank with the Ferengi trader and get your stuff that way. Now going to the star ship bridge is not possible and going to the account bank is blocked. Star fleet academy is closed you can't go to your account bank with the Fed tutorial, So my question why is it a bug or is it done on purpose but then I don't understand why this is done because in the early days I bought keys then sell those and buy stuff from the exchange so they would get money now that this has been locked or blocked they won't get that money. blocked another opportunity to make money I guess....

    Access to the account bank and slots is now bought through the c-store.

    Are you talking specifically about the tutorial missions? You can skip them and at least for TOS toons you can bypass the "no access" thing via you shuttle bridge. For the other three factions I wouldn't know.

    I have however been giving "basic equipment" (ec, dil, materials) to my new toons immediately after the tutorials since over two years without any problem at all. And for the tutorials: you don't really need equipment there, do you? Up until you reach First City/ESD/Flotilla for the first time, you're only facing enemies that are scaled to be no problem at all.

    Once you've either finished or skipped the tutorial your new characters have access to the mail if you want to send unbound stuff to them. Account bound stuff can only be swapped via the Account Bank which is either bought via the C-Store or subscribe for one month and it's there forever after. If you subscribe use the 500 Zen to buy the EC cap unlock as that doesn't stay after you unsubscribe.

    You really don't need better stuff to do the tutorial.

    Hehe, I remember back when I first started playing and played the old tutorial with a boff. It's written assuming you don't have one. The only way I got one was via an account unlock from the pre-order. It made things go from "pathetically easy" to "I can ignore the enemies".
