Dropped from game and the launcher wont launch.

My connect is just fine (obviously, I can get into the forums)

    He's not alone, I've been getting the exact same thing happening since the winter event started. It usually reconnects OK a few minutes later.

    It's been particularly bad for me tonight. It looks as if the patch and authentication servers are getting swamped.

    STO servers are proven to be unreliable when more than 10 players try to be online at the same time.

    Christmas time brings them all back.

    There is also more traffic on the internet this time of year with people going online to buy stuff and the holidays. Internet also slows down during tax time too. This is just an observation I have seen thru the years. Take it for what it is worth to you.

    In Xbox quite a few people had issues yesterday, as soon as Te got back in (if they could) the server wouldn't respond. It fixed itself but now it's happening again,
