I'm a science character, using Command kit modules. What I'm finding is that most ground Doffs that I could assign to the 5 ground slots are older and thus buff traditional kit modules. I do have two science, one engineer and one tactical on my team, and I'm wondering if I can choose groud doffs that will buff their actions? Does STO work that way now? I'm been out for a few years, and I'm trying to figure out the angles.
Also, is anyone else having success using Command modules over traditional kit modules. I just ran two missions on the III (hardest) setting with only level 10-12 gear and only had one of my boffs go down. It seems to me like I'm not doing so bad with the command modules. They're only the white versions at the moment. Thanks.

When I first did the Voth ground battlezone in the Dyson Sphere, I gave 20 large hypos and 60 large shield batteries before heading out into the battlezone. Upon completion of the goal to defeat all 3 V-Rexes, I checked on my Boffs. They used between 5 to 10 of the hypos and all of the shield batteries were gone.
Power Cell: Am I about to shoot something?
-Yes>use power cell
-other>do not use power cell
Shield Battery: Are my shields low?
-Yes>use
-other>do not use
Hypo: Is my health low?
well you see where this is going....
